Another fact is that it always works if you use <-

I remember a discussion about a superfluous trainer in level 1 not being added. This fits the same category, doesn't it?

But atleast this time the 'first-release-nonsense'-card isn't being played. So that's an improvement I'd say ;)

The R key is now mentioned on the itch.io releasepage. Yesterday it was not, I know. And it works in your version as long as you don't use the first trainer. In Old Tower +2D it still works with trainer. That's a fact.

As said before, this version works, just uses a different key. Yawn...

The trick was that the R key is not mentioned in the "docs". But the first trainer here disables it like in nearly all other cracks. The only current version this still works is Old Tower +2D.

The point is that is does not matter the slightest. There is a working key for restart. Indeed, case closed.

The "R" key is NOT replaced. It is still working without the invulnerability trainer. Just not with it.

C'mon, when installing the "<-" key, you were not knowing about the original "R" key. It was the same in all previous versions, too. Nobody knew that the original had the "R" function. No problem, it happened to all of us. :-)

Case closed for me. Peace.

...and replaced by a different key. Is the left arrow key missing from your keyboard or what? I really don't see the issue here. Moving along...

... no matter what excuses: a function of the original game is destroyed by trainers. :-)

...no matter the technical explanation, the issue is the same - we have another key assigned that does just what we want it to do. So, we say it is 100% and will not do any v2. I find it a bit amusing that there is a lot of debate on what key to press to restart, while the bug that affected gameplay with trainer on is deemed not important. Taste differs, indeed.

Sorry, but the problem is not "a conflict with the levelskip", because activating trainer 2 (level skip) still has the "R" key active. So there is no problem in checking the "C=" and the "R" key at the same time.

The problem is that trainer 1 (invulnerability) is killing the "R" key. Without this trainer, the key is working. So it's the same bug as in all previous versions with invulnerability trainer.

Goat: That is correct, as said in trivia we added <- instead of R due to the conflict with levelskip. The function is still there, and our opinion is that it is totally fine to do so and that this is 100%. So, there we can simply agree that we disagree.

I'm not sure if you can call it 100%.

The original uses key "R" to restart a level. When you activate the invulnerability trainer, the original key "R" is not working anymore. Yes, you also added a different key to restart. But the original game function with the key "R" is not working due to the trainer...

Lovely crack.

They are indeed similar - but not identical. Note that some levels have multiple portals that you can jump between when having the exits instantly open. Unlike levelskip where you always skip to the next level and nothing else.

Trainers 2 and 3 are very similar.
