Credits for the parts and things:
=================================
Loader & Packer: Bitbreaker
Framework: Doomed
Dirart: Cupid
Soundtrack: Toggle
Help&Nagging&Testing: Weasel
CharmodeBasicFaderSprites
-------------------------
Code: Dano
Nothing fancy this time due to deadline and things.. *coughing*
BitmapLogo
----------
Code: Dano
Graphics: Twoflower
One of those parts i spent a total night on just to wake up and question myself why i did it that complicated in the first place..
SpriteWavyScroller
------------------
Code: Dano
Graphics: Twoflower
Immediatly after i saw this Knut-Scroller i had to code it myself. This time total 6 chars wide, but just something like 190 lines high due to music playing. Lucky me the graphics hide that it's scrolling not full height.
SpritesCircleLoader
-------------------
Code: Dano
Sprites: Cupid
Just something small that not exceeds the left over space. And i total acknowledge that the DVD-sprites not move in the way the should have moved like back in the day.
CharmodeAmplifirePlasma
-----------------------
Code: Dano
Graphics: Jailbird
I always loved Pernod's image-plasma from Amplifire. Contrary to him back then i tried to make the 2 images blend over - and i succeeded in some way. Way off from being perfect, but i still love the way it looks. Uses 13 charsets for maximum fidelity.
And i am still blown away on the graphics did for the part. Each picture in total short notice in 2 days. Wee!
PetsciiSwinger
--------------
Code: Dano
Help: Doomed
Petscii: Shine
Originally ment for a totally different demo i ripped it out of its habitat and put it here as a loader part.
That petscii background is just totally übercool!
BeesAndBombs
------------
Code: Dano
Additional Code: Doomed
Animation: BeesAndBombs
As much as i wished this part would be 50fps realtime, it's totally not. Found this animation on BeesAndBombs after i watched a episode on Ferris' channel where he implemented this anim into his demo framework. Wrote a converter for this, which scans through the anim and tries to find as huge as possible base charset. In a second step the converter creates charsets per-frame which contain the different chars. Using ChristopherJams's awesome and fast tinycrunch this part depacks the difference charset and the screen per frame from mem.
SpritesCircleLoader2
--------------------
Code: Dano
Sprite: Cupid
Just a tiny loader screen to keep you guys occupied while loading. :)
BitmapDiagonalRasterbars
------------------------
Code: Dano
The colorful succesor to the 3color YKTR bars in "in a hurry". Seeing this part in Uncensored made me remember there was something alike in some FLT demo. The effects itself might look familiar, hehe.. ;) Even if the bars are not rotating i find this looks pretty cool still.
BitmapBruceLee
--------------
Code: Dano & Doomed
Picture: Cupid
Sprites: Twoflower
Some short interlude with a nice little image done by Cupid.
BitmapHorizontalColorcycle
--------------------------
Code: Dano
Sprites: Cupid
The beauty (sort of) lies in the details. Not ye old colorcycler, but with additional smooth d016 offsets every 8 lines. Sort of brute forcing the single offsets, this part calls for a successor with proper d016 offsets where needed. I created the wave-image in Photoshop and lucky me this still looks so good despite the color-clashes it suffers, but which don't really show that much, do they?
BeesAndBombs_Singular4col
-------------------------
Code: Dano
Animation: ? (Google)
Another animation part in this demo. Can't recall from where i googled this animation from. This time my converter calculates down the animation to a 80x50 resolution running in this sweet character mode i shameless took the idea from Quadtrip/Singular. This is a pure screen-depacker again using ChristopherJams's Tinycrunch. Maybe i could have spent more time on a smart RLE encoder/decoder? Not really the smart way, but it's fast and easy, haha. :)
CharmodeFPPMCol
---------------
Code: Dano
When i saw that checkerboard in The Phoenix Code i totally had to do a version myself. Again.
When i showed a preview to JackAsser he hinted me to use a second bank with a different dither, so i can avoid nasty stripes in stretched graphics.
After all it's a standard FPP routine with double sinus movement for your viewing pleasure.
CharmodeSinusShadeDotsRadial
----------------------------
Code: Dano
I cannot remember where i got the inspiration for that part from. Just too many dot parts back in the days, haha. :) When linking the demo i remembered this little one and decided to put it here. Would have been too nice to just throw it away again.
Cannot remember the number of dots currently, sorry. Just your well known 3 color shade dots after all. :)
OffenceBarsRasterMover
----------------------
Code: Dano
Sprites: Jailbird
Which demo was it? Cannot recall right now. But those moving bars conjurer made looked so slick on the bigscreen. So i set out and tried to create the bitmap for it and some optimized speedcode to draw the whole screen in 50fps.
As i still could not get my Uncensored-lamer bars running, this nice little colorful routine is there for your pleasure.
BitmapPaduaClassic
------------------
Code: Dano
Graphics: Twoflower
We had high plans with this sweet logo from Twoflower. BUt due to deadline rolling in we had to cut the effects and things down to what you see on the screen.
Ofcourse this whole demo would not exist in the fluid way it moves without all that effort from Doomed put in to iron out my bugs and restless various ways i broke the demo running. And ofcourse his efforts in part fades and loading-optimizations. |
