Genius font that I just found on Logo-O-Matic.

Obviously what Mixer sez!

There ain't no better coders than me, so here's my expert opinion. Not so sure if the more hankypanky suggestions like changing light source position is wort the trouble.

However, great and inspiring stuff, makes you think!

Raytracing rulez! :-D
Actualy the font's lightest color could be matched to light source (sprite) color. Dynamic lighting source :-)

yeah.. :) I could make it a bit nicer but not so spectacular, also its like a hello world for me to code, but for that it takes too much time, your offer makes me glad, and me also a cupid fan, but my excuses are infront of this sentence :)

@Flotsam this could work fine

There are hundreds of better pixel artists than me here, but that doesn't stop me. :)

with so little chars needed lighting it can be done in easily in realtime, probably 50fps :) then its a nice candidate for the unreadable compo :)

Cupid, there are about 3419 better coders than me in CSDB, but if no-one else catches up on this then it has to be me. This needs to be done. :)

KAL_123, I believe just one empty char between letters will improve the legibility dramatically.

Nice idea!

Good ideas also here for further consideration, e.g. on adding variants for different light sources.

Note also that a little bit of unreadability is not always a bad thing - unreadable scrollers are a thing currently and there's even a compo for this :-)

I like the idea, but this font is not easy to read in the way it is at the moment.

Interesting idea Flotsam. This one sticks to the 8x8 grid, so in essence, we have a 2x2 rock and two 1x1 rocks, if you want to have a go, I can totally do the other light sources.

Just think how cool this would look with a swinging light source. It couldn't take too many charsets to realize. Great work with the charsets Cupid.
