I agree, though I have to test it in real. Imagine they put 64 characters from this on GEOS GUI, and at a certain time it was the 3rd most favourite GUI of the world :-) So it should not be THAT bad :-)
On a 50" 4K screen the thin lines could not be a real problem :-)

to be honest i think readability is very bad, not because of the thinness of the lines but because of the huge distance between letters. it's a nice experiment for sure but i wouldn't want to use a GUI with such a font

The release classified as PETSCII as it was the closest category from the selectable ones.
For me it was a little was surprising, how close a character based screen could be to a HIRES GUI, just by changing few PETSCII characters (with thos changes even possible to add a new window).
Inverse characters are not modified yet, and there are plenty of still useable PETSCII characters for better simulation. I have doubts, how well this GEOS fontset was readible on a CRT TV, but on a C= monitor it could be super sharp and clean experience.
