@jailbird: Yeah, there is this youtube channel called C64! which makes vids of p much all the new releases and ups them to their channel. Looks like it is either just screenshots for pics, or VICE recordings for demos and such. P lame.

Impressive work! Those eyes are extraordinary, and the char block boundaries in the background just look like part of the art style rather than a limitation.

I like the beveling on the raised sections too; that works really well.

LOL, I assure you that any kind of resemblance to Chris O'Donnell is purely accidental, I don't even like his movies (except The Triangle).
Didn't really have anyone in my mind while pixelling, basically was just putting around facial elements wherever I managed to fit them... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Really great work! You make it look like a childs-play and everytime I've tried,
I fail so bad i never want to touch hires ever (part from cheating with loads of expanded sprites and raster underneath!)

Gotta concur here. Do more scribbles. This is really good.

You should scribble in meetings more often because this is some real hires magic as far as I can tell.

Made while scribbling around in P1 in utter boredom during online work meetings. Meh.
