Well, I am only commenting now because I had no words after watching the demo! And still, after rewatching it many times, still hard to find the right words! Amazing, stunning, lovely, fantastic...and many more.
Love the transitions, the double DYPP is awesome, the music, the graphics, the code... thanks Bonzai for this great piece of Art!

Smiley Face All Over! A demo to return to many times – especially on dull days. Many thanks for giving us that groovy, gratifying feeling, bros!

@stinsen: DRAX has been banned from making end screen tracks, because we had complaints that people were unable to stop sobbing after hearing them. Instead you will have to settle for me covering The Carpenters entire discography, one track at a time. :D

What a show. <3 <3

Transitions are mind blowing throughout, so tightly synched with the music.

Great graphics, effects and ofc soundtrack.

Personal nitpick, I would have loved a new original end tune from DRAX, but that's only a minor comment. ;)

@Carrion - all the women here now wants to know, when the shaggy stallions are on tour and in which cities? And also if it's true, that they plan a common-tour with "Hairy Popper" in 2022? *lol* ;-)

This release doesn't really need more comments, but I feel a huge need to say how stunned I am with its overall quality. The soundtrack makes me feel very, very small and humble.

Great stuff, such meticulous attention to detail!
And finally the tunnel-part gets released! :D

What an absolutely amazing demo!

Digger: The final tune must for sure be Laxity? Sure sounded like it anyways.

Beautiful surprise gift from the bros. Code smooth as peanut butter. Lovely pixels. Ear honey. Pure love. Thank you guys.

Almost guessed who composed what, the trickiest one was the co-op tune and the finale (sounded so christmassy and Draxy). The entire soundtrack smells soooo Cresty.

@soci: I thought that too, but you missed the sprites! ;-)

And now who's next to extend the "kefrens over no-badline bitmap" into top/bottom borders?

My shirt magically opened up and the visuals oiled up my chest real good.
Gave me the weirdest boner.

A new gold standard in transitions?

Amazing in all respects <3 I nearly fell off my chair laughing when the portraits part came up on the livestream. On the downside: I'm not sure I can look any one of you in the eye ever again, at least not without blushing :P HYGGE!

Another example for the fact that c64 demos have grown *far* beyond just some technical exploitation. This artwork here combines the technical possibilites only a few are capable of handling with a deeply thought-through direction of art and presentation. This is the new bar for demos to come, I'd say!

In the end-part, I somehow thought it should say "more than just one bro'" - but ok, no need to overdo it ;)

A true showstopper! This is my new favourite Bonzai demo, and that is saying a lot.

Everything in this is perfect. EVERYTHING. Insane code, insane graphics, insane musics, insane concept, insane design, insane execution. And just the right amount of funny sprinkled on top, so that shit doesn't get too serious. This is something I will show to my non-C64 friends who want to see what demoscene is all about.

Holy shit, did you guys really have to rub it in how superior your skills are? Crushing the dreams and ambitions of mere mortal like myself :( How about a little modesty? Grrr.. I love and hate you guys at the same time. Superb style and an unbeatable Draxity soundtrack! 10/10

@Soci: Yes, you are correct. Actually, the idea of using on-the-fly generated dummy code to do a big hires scroller is amazing :)

Unfortunately, adding and writing to a sprite layer means that my version only updates every 4th frame whereas yours updates every 3rd frame :)

Submitted by Jammer on 4 July 2021
Now that's how you put demo together! <3

Submitted by soci on 4 July 2021
The end scroller is essentially the same as what I did back then here:
Arok 20 Invitation

Otherwise clever choice of colours and for sure it was a good idea to use background sprites to colour the text.

Very Bonzai style throughout. Nice, simple, well designed. Good stuff. The tunnel anim part is great (I know Trap had that one in a nearly-finished state 2 years ago).

Yep, congrats guys.

This demo has so much style that it is ridiculous. This looks and sounds like what a demo should look and sound like, when the artists all have more than 30 years of experience on a platform. Top quality work, huge respects.
