@Bacchus: Discussing and whining about other group's original supply pathes in public is rather lame in my eyes, sorry so say that. You got the firstie, you got the points, so why are you not happy with it?

Deep down it comes to ONLY a SINGLE most important question! Why isn't Motley on the boards?! I can't sleep thinking of this.

Deep down it comes to ONLY a SINGLE question!.
What is AFTRE? And how can it help us in our daily lives?

Should add: good version and a really ambitious trainer, Didi.

@ax!s Hear me out and let's get some facts straight first:

1) We released the game AFTRE being made available to us and the other Patreons.
2) We respect the principle of releasing it to the closed community of BBS users - not sharing a link here to the public. (Even if BBSes are an utterly lame thing - this is a case where it has merits)
3) We released it literally minutes before Lax(sh)ity.

If you complain the game was released by us, have a look at the three points above.
A) ANYONE paying for Zzap gets it. Even before our version was submitted. Unprotected. Fully spreadable. AFAIK it's not even watermarked so you can't even tell which Patreon spread it.
B) Richard gives the game to Laxity, which is a pretty dumb thing to do if you don't want the game cracked and scene released.

A) makes it publically available in a spreadable version and B) makes a scene version available to the ones having access. All that happened here is that we beat Lax(sh)ity in the B) aspect.

The ONLY part of this that could be a reason for complaints is if there is an agreement between Richard and Laxity (which there obviously is), where Laxity is promised the first release in return for some services (Dope, BJs, NTSC fixing - what do we know about the currency). We are not part of that deal. We have no reason to respect it either.

You can trust that we adhere to all the principles and honour what we feel should be honoured, but making a version that gets spread before Lax(sh)ity is something I'd be HAPPY to do AGAIN. And AGAIN. And AGAIN. In reality It won't happen that often as we are not in the business of adding intros to five instances of every Github project, nor do we add intros to our own games. We also can't help that Didi is too slow ...

This was a clean cut - released in glorious honour. Anyone disagreeing is a whiner.

PS: Nice loading picture you did there!

Are you saying crackers release games prior official release when they got their hands on it although they shoudlnt have, and they are not asking?

HOW DARE THEY

@hedning: Simple cause that we receive more bashing is probably that we release a lot and therefore offer many targets. ;-)

Didi: Don't play a victim, love. You should be able to take some bashing as you guys usually are the ones that nitpicks and bashes everything and anyone you can find. ;)

@Ax!s it was cracked after the Patreon mail went out. During a lunchbreak pretty much. So your statement is wrong there, ZZap is the ones who sent out the mail about the cover disks, hence it was released to the public.

+1 on iANs' comment - whoever wants to avoid speedy releases shouldnt leak in the first place.

Funny to see we are bashed again. Maybe we are just missing the bonus to be old legends. ;-)

And since when Crackers have to be correct? They're releasing illegal copies (supposedly removing the anti-copy protections) of paid-for softwares, and you even have to protest about their correctness? Get your shit together, guys. Stop whining. You can't do anything about it, move along.

The problem isn't that the game was released in a cracked version. The problem is timing, Richard made the game for ZZAP and by releasing the game before it came out of the magazine, you don't respect his work and ZZAP magazine. It would have been fashionable to talk about it before. You did the same to us with Shock Raid, you released a cracked version before its official release, that's not correct.

Are you saying Laxity released a game that Richard gave them?

Outrageous!

@ian Yeah. That is just how that collaboration works. The early Lax release of Richard's games is just a coincidence of course.

If the Lax release wasn't supplied by Richard, then I am Kermit the Muppet. And I am not.

Bacchus: I don't know what do you actully want to say with that, Didi just used a (yet unused) tune Richard composed last year and I remember it was uppped at Deepsid instead of using it in one of his TND releases.
In any case there wouldn't be any reason to be marvelled if Richard would have composed a tune especially for an intro linked to one of his games =) It wouldn't be the first and not even the last time =)

If the coder of the game has produced the music for the intro, aren't we approaching the territory of releasing your own stuff?
