While our previous release is a solid 100% release since it does not induce any bugs not already in the original, we decided to release this to showcase how most of the flaws in the original can be mitigated and fixed without breaking the gameplay. And we mean in a sane way, instead of ending up manipulating the game mechanics like another group did - which of course opened up Pandora's box with unwanted side effects, like making it impossible to drop bombs where you should be able to do so in the original.
So: we went back to the drawing board. Even less scrolling errors while acting wild, and this without breaking the gameplay. In this version we also fixed the highscore type-in which on real hardware was hard to deal with, and we also corrected some graphics glitches on the title screen that could appear occasionally. Since we love IFFL, we took the opportunity to add such a loader, while still retaining 1571 compability (and adding 1581 compability as well). So, here is our take on a 101% version. Do enjoy! |
