Hmm, I guess I waited enough then, to see there are no opposing comments from people actively checking CSDb. So here it is, anyone feel free to use it...

That's fine with me.

Btw would it be a problem for the compo this time, if I upload the source-code of HerMiniSID so some more people may play around?

Wow, that's good news, thanks for the exactification. The info about allowed entry-amount somehow faded in my mind.

I released it in the 2022 Tiny SID compo but as I already have 2 tunes there

The max is two tunes per category, not two tunes for the entire compo, so feel free to add it.

Yep. I developed a very short 8bit to 16bit pitch-value converter code into this tiny player, but it seems some of the deepest bass sounds (with less approachable fractional SID pitch-values) still suffer. But I want F bassnote there, so I uploaded a version with a bass of an octave upper but lower cutoff-frequency to still sound 'deepish'. This seems to be acceptably tuned now, so I won't have to completely ditch the new pitch-routine...

Hi folks. I was inspired by Pocket Universe of 4MAT to finally write a 256 byte tune myself... In the past days I've been working on the very tiny but still universal (aka not tune-specific) player, it handles orderlists, patterns, instrument-tables in the normal ways, supports transpose/instrument selection from orderlist, duration/instrument selection in pattern, and SID-settings and absolute/relative-pitch arpeggios in the instrument-table, pulse-sweep by duration-counter, all with dense musicdata and no overhead of ends/jumps. The player code is about 128 bytes to 151 bytes depending on the used 'extra' features, but it was still hard to make listenable music in the remaining ~105..128 bytes. I hope the result is listenable, this is my first attempt at writing music deafly, using only an assembler and my inner hearing of scale-notes.

I released it in the 2022 Tiny SID compo but as I already have 2 tunes there I didn't dare to put it into the '256byte Intro' category, just into the 'outside compo'. Maybe if this is a better release then MajomTanc (which I only created to have at least one 512byte entry at the compo), I think they could swap place, so this one would be in the official compo lists...
