New features introduced in this issue:

- REU support. If a REU with at least 256k RAM is detected at start, the engine will upload the whole magazine content from the floppy to the REU for even faster access. Saving bookmarks and accessing bookmarked content, however, will still require the original disk in the floppy drive. If the REU gets accidently disconnected, Sparkle will take over and the magazine will continue to load from the floppy.

- 4-pixel line spacing. We are now able to display text with two different line spacings: the conventional 0-pixel where text appears in every 8th pixel row, and the new 4-pixel line spacing where text is being blit every 12th pixel row. In this case, text lines are 4 pixels apart which improves legibility. We can even mix these two on a single page.

- Multicolour bitmaps. Now we can display 3 different image formats: hi-res bitmaps, multicolour bitmaps, and our signature 6-colour sprite images invented by Raistlin. Hi-res bitmaps can be of any size up to 320 x 184 pixels (as long as both width and height are multiples of 8). Since the text is blit on a hi-res bitmap, multicolour bitmaps must always have a width of 320 pixels for obvious reasons, and can be as high as 184 pixels (again, multiples of 8). We load the hi-res and multicolour graphics directly on the main bitmap after blitting of a text page is complete. Sprite images use 3 layers of sprites: one layer of 4 multicolour sprites plus two layers with two X-expanded hi-res sprites in each, multiplexed to a size of 96x96 pixels. Since our menu system also uses sprites over a hi-res bitmap background, multicolour bitmaps and sprite images are hidden while the menu is displayed.
