@Jammer: Yes, planned, and I made some advances beside the music (digi), but SFX-wise it was hard to achieve what Algorithm made with SSDPCM, cca 1kbyte/second with adequate quality. My DPCM or LPC (and Frodigi-like) encoding doesn't yet sound that good for that size, that sets back the motives and development a bit for now. Also I got some cues/doubts about legal aspects from some sceners, so maybe it's just the game-formula and mood/theme that gets recreated, not the exact brand... a new (probably better) story is likely on the way too...
As I see much of interest already it can go further than this, and I guess some team-help would come handy, if anyone is interested... (gfx, Encounter/Powerdrift-like character quasi-3D engine, mouse-control, scripting, every aspects can be nicely cleanly separated for delegation/teamwork.)

Stunning! This is what S.T.A.L.K.E.R. would have been on the C-64.
STARLKER is a very nice game on the PC, that I revisit many times. Glad you made this :)

I loved the (also free standalone) Lost Alpha and Wind of Time versions too. But will certainly have a look at this Anomaly mod, seems interesting.

Really loving this. Very well put together!

Anyone who has been living under a rock for the past 15 years and hasn't played the PC game should do so immediately.
For those who already have, you should play this brilliant mod that brings all the three STALKER games and maps into a single gameplay experience (for free too!): https://www.moddb.com/mods/stalker-anomaly

Many moons ago, back when i used a Tower PC (these days i stick to the laptop and save gaming for the PS4 and PS5) i lived in the world of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl for a time. I loved it. I recall downloading a number of patches to get the thing to run properly. The reason i quit, was the god of all viruses struck my PC and killed it. I had no choice but to 100% reset the PC back to the day i purchased it (the PC shipped with a bunch of VAIO reset CD's)

I'll be back, to comment, once i have checked out S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Music Collection

Helloo, helo!
Nice to see you're fans of this unique game too, seems I'm not alone in the Zone. :)
@Jammer: My information might well be of use to you Stalker: It was/is planned to make some ambient background music covers too, but for me these tunes played by the radios at bases/camps could be grabbed easier. Ambients need, well, a lot of ambient/reverb, which is not the strength of C64, especially when only 2 channels are left beside SFX. In case you'll be in the mood to recreate some ambient music from Stalker someday, I'll be very much interested to listen to your rendition though...
I'm not kidding. Let the Zone take me if I am. :)

I had bigger plans with these tunes but for now I decided to release them as a collection. I like these melancholic tunes in the Stalker game series so I covered them, and Stalker is my favourite PC game anyway.
I hope you'll like it too...
