Pushing the edge with a rap part with so much visuals and the longest singing vocals I ever heard on the C64. When Swallow showcased that The End part early on, I knew this was going to be a great demo. Glad I could take part of it and I truly hope everyone appreciated the hundreds of hours put into coding this together. Myself I spent quite some time on the intro part with the fractal routine for the moon-surface. I see votes of 5, 6 and 7s, so I am guessing that is honest votes saying we've gotta step up and do even better next time

As usual I am late to the party, but what a demo, just incredble. In any competition since the dawn of man you'd have an easy win, but as fate would have it, Next Level was there too. Maaaaan, what a competition. Cheers!

I just rewatched this one again and really enjoyed it. Aside from the great code, design and rap, one thing that stands out for me especially in the beginning of the demo, is the great music design - barely any noticeable breaks in the beginning and very smooth transitions up to the Kiss concert - which is muffled from the outside of the venue.

Censor Design is back.. Great effects, great digi parts.. Talent as lead artist this time.. A nice story glueing all the parts/effects together.. And again a good digi part (side) ! I prefer this one on place 2 btw :) Bob after the usual break u know what u love to do most.. so.. keep the balance and looking forward to the next CD "big one" ! Oh yeay, Alice picture scrolling up and down with the nice effects going on is just top notch.. I raise my beer to the whole CD crew!

A great show :) , have seen it on the live recording on youtube. Anyway i would like to ask, if it's possible to raise up the sample quality on SID-Chip. If you start on disk 4, a info screen is coming up, showing what SID-Chip is used and what sample quality is used. On my U64 the sample quality is good. What can be done to change it to "BEST"?

Too many music breaks for me. Why did you have to destroy the great beginning vibes?!
Apart from that many insanely great parts. And the ending... oh my god is that good!

One of the best demos ever made for the C64. Well done! It can also be watched as part in our livestream at 00:58:37 which also include a "Best of X2023 Demoparty" special part. :-)

This one really had me worried at compo night. I expected the "worst" and I was thankfully not disappointed. A true tour de force of Censor power in all its might and magic. I love that you guys stick to the oldschool formula by keeping your Wonderland series alive. A lot of respect and love for doing that. Plain awesome! Maybe we should revive Lethal Display some day? Lethal land? Wonder Display? ...hmmm.. thoughts. Anyway, this is a true work of art. I am most impressed by Talent's absolutely wonderful style and there's nothing better for an oldschooler to see new blood. Talent, you are amazing.
Guys, you are absolutely amazing and I bow to you for pulling this one off. I am actually relieved that this behemoth is finally out - makes me sleep a little better at night :) Thank you for keeping all of us on our toes and always try harder.
Bob, I am not sure we need to seek that Edge of Disgrace killer demo ... yours is definitely one that goes beyond. Now, lets sit down together and see what Booze will do next <3
Absolutely phenomenal job by you all <3 Thank you!

So Censor Design took us into Wonderland for the 14th time with this one! As for me, I gladly followed - it was an AWESOME adventure once again :)

The gfxes by Talent give this piece an extra touch!

Thx for delivering awesomeness at X, once again!

Coding-wise stunning, KISS-part sounds like 6581 distortion like never heard on 8580 again! so dynamic like zapping through all the best tv stations but stopping at MTV with the digi-hip-hop part even with crowd clapping digis. was so much fun listening that part at a real boom box outside the main hall again after the compos \o/ maybe had deserved the first place with the first and second place at X. but at least head to head /w them. over and out.

The demo doesn't load after 'run' when loading from 1571 or OC-118N, just spins the drive forever.

Glad to see this finally out. Dunno if it was left out intentionally, but I added myself to the credits and also added a credit to The Sarge for design. Credit where credit is due, boys and girls. E$G, I knew you'd like the KISS part. :)

I really enjoyed the c64 doing rap, as i am anyway a big sucker for oldschool rap! I found your theme very pleasing this time, as it hit my taste just well! Also happy that you managed to sort out crashes on the party, but also beforehand with turning disk. I really saw this ranked higher after watching for being so well elaborated and polished!

Melle Mel rapping about X democompo. just when i thought i couldn't be more surprised. as a non-coder i rarely have competences to wonder HOW DID THEY DO IT - well here's a HOW DID THEY DO IT moment for absolutely everyone :)

(and it even wraps up the whole story, explaining the concept behind - fuck me, with a long joystick)

Yet another very nice demo from X. Some really nice - and recognisable - art from Talent here. Art through is fantastic.

Music's decent.. not sure it's as good as usual Censor demos though?

Code is great too. As with X2018, I'd say it's a close call between which demo I preferred out of Bonzai (+PL) and Censor this time. I'd say there's more codeporn in this one - but Bonzai's demo had more polished transitions etc I guess? (both demos have the odd glitches here and there though)

Really great stuff. X2023 was definitely amazing. In a normal year, this would've been top 2.

The large colourful twister over twister rates as one of the best FX at X'2023

Kiss.. Emma Frost turning into Eddie.. what is there not to like? ^_^
The pixel style of Emma Frost and the portraits of the members of Kiss, and the Space-man, looks really good. How is it achieved?
