This demo plays back my live DJing done on a dance party.

The Commodore 64 is used to:

- play back the original tune
- give options to manipulate the sound of the two SID chips used (voices and filter toggle)
- give options to loop the last few bars (Takte)

AND:

- record all the live manipulations for later playback(what you see and hear here)

Interesting but I quite don't get the technical aspects (more than listed in the demo and here). If this tool will be released I am interested to check it out.

To make it easy for everyone to experience the demo, I am preparing a Youtube upload captured from real hardware with dual sid configuration.

Well, this is something new! All voices of the two sid-chips are toggled independantly and there is filter toggle action on sid 1. And there is looping going on!!
All this creates a 27 minutes DJ live set out of a 2 minute song.

If copying the registers to de00 is all that is done I agree with Ian that the term "remixing" might be a bit strong. From a purely descriptive point of view, playing an ordinary mono SID through different sid revisions in the Left and Right speaker can create a quite nice and subtle stereo effect.

I don't know if this can be called "remixing", the sid regs get copied to $de00 each play call, causing an echo if there is another sidchip at $de00, else there is no difference.
