The biggest of all mysteries... Where the heck is this demo? | User Comment Submitted by KAL_123 on 14 July 2024
Too drunk to publish, maybe? *lol* :-) | User Comment Submitted by Xiny6581 on 14 July 2024
Any news on this demo? :) | User Comment Submitted by iAN CooG on 9 September 2021
at this point, don't say or promise anything until there is an actual working dump. | User Comment Submitted by HBH.ZTH on 9 September 2021
I have still this demo among my demodisks. But need help to go through them all to dump. Most disks comes with labels of the content, so a large demo like this is bound to be written onto the disk label. | User Comment Submitted by Tech on 23 December 2020
There is still hope!

Count: well quite a bit I guess :) | User Comment Submitted by PAL on 27 November 2020
I think I got this demo from a swapping friend in a group called Dunex in the beginning of 1990 or something... Maybe I have that floppy still? After new years I will connect my c64 and look through my old floppies to see what is on there... I think I remember this demo on one of them. I also will try to find some long lost demo parts that we did in 90-92 that actually were cool, some 3d hand pixelated animation cogwheel parts and so on. | User Comment Submitted by Count Zero on 27 November 2020
Tap tap tap ... slowest demo release EVER!
How much alcohol was there involved that it takes myriads to get sober? :) | User Comment Submitted by Jazzcat on 26 November 2020 User Comment Submitted by Tech on 26 November 2020
All music tracks have been recovered from other sources now! | User Comment Submitted by ΛΛdZ on 26 November 2020
Hi Tech, Great news. We all hope to see it finally after all these years.
Any chance you can look for any info on the other lost Upfront demo that was released on Dexion 1990 party:

We salute you Upfront! | User Comment Submitted by Tech on 26 November 2020
Guess what we just found?
Now let's hope the disks work :) | User Comment Submitted by TheRyk on 29 April 2017
As Hein has just dug out the sound track, someone find the gfx and code and let's link this DTW :D | User Comment Submitted by celticdesign on 15 March 2017
No way, even many many GTWs pooped up nowadays... Should be also possible with a demo. Damn you elite, give it to us!!! ;-) | User Comment Submitted by Smasher on 14 March 2017
so only the lucky ones who were present at the party were able to see it once in their lives and it was never spread? this mystery fascinates me, this demo is getting legendary like the holy grail and the yeti. sorry collectors, don't hate me but my hope is that it will never be found and it will live forever in our dreams. | User Comment Submitted by Flex on 14 March 2017
... the search still goes on.. and chances fade away day by day. But "I still believe". :-) | User Comment Submitted by Cruzer on 26 April 2014
Guess you're right about the spelling, Bleze. This old magazine agrees. But at least we have an idea of what it was called, unlike their demo from the following year: (Unknown)
You should get your disks examined by the best disk doctors in the scene. Maybe someone like MdZ can help. Just the slight chance of even a buggy version showing up is awesome news. | User Comment Submitted by bleze on 26 April 2014
I remember this demo as the most hard to get. It was on my list of missing demos for a very long time. It has been 21 years pretty much since I left the scene and a lot of beers and booze have made my memory bad. But, I do remember the name of the demo as "To Drunk To Fuck" - with a misspelling. Here comes the crazy part. I remember finally getting my hands on this demo at the end of my time on the scene. I have a vague memory of watching the demo and the felling of "this is it!". Now I'm not sure if this is a dream (caused by the long time of craving this demo - and the beer+booze) or if it was actually what happened.
I still have my disks and I've been through them but cannot find any disk labeled with the demo name. I do have a lot of disks with no labels and some of the ones I suspect to might have the demo on them, has stopped working. At least in the backups I've tried to do with 1451Uii. I have not given up and will post back here if I succeed in finding and recovering it :) | User Comment Submitted by Hein on 18 April 2013
Oh, I remember Edwin being upset, because Upfront didn't like the music (or never released the demo so they must've disliked the music, or sumthing emo). Maybe he just shouldn't have visited the land of Danish killer musicians. | User Comment Submitted by DRAX on 18 April 2013
Medicus... It's true that 20cc did the music for the demo... It's such a pity that this demo has disappeared :( | User Comment Submitted by Medicus on 24 December 2010
Didn't 20cc do some music for this demo? Or are the "Too Drunk to Fuck"-tunes from their "compactdisc" just have the same name by coincidence? | User Comment Submitted by Zyron on 17 May 2008
The entry is here because this demo competed in the democompo. | User Comment Submitted by Radiant on 17 May 2008
If it wasn't released, what is the entry doing here? | User Comment Submitted by Burglar on 17 May 2008
I remember wanting this demo badly after reading about it in some mag in 89-90, and now, 28 years later, nobody has it, or even had it.
Pretty safe to conclude it was never released... how sad ;( | User Comment Submitted by Cruzer on 16 December 2007
As far as I heard it was never released, so I guess the chances that it exists somewhere are close to 0.
| User Comment Submitted by Conrad on 16 December 2007
Just did a scan through the supersorter database containing all the wares in my boxes at home and didn't result with a name as such, so looks like I don't have the demo either. :(
Keep searching, lads. | User Comment Submitted by Motion on 16 December 2007
It still hasn't surfaced? Oh shite! :( | User Comment Submitted by TWR on 17 August 2006
Maybe it is, Dead Kennedys is crap anyway. :-) | User Comment Submitted by dalezy on 17 August 2006
gotta crawl through my disks at home to see if i still have it. if i'm not mistaken, this one included evs' remix of take on me. | User Comment Submitted by chatGPZ on 17 August 2006
iopop: YES! that was it :) | User Comment Submitted by iopop on 17 August 2006 User Comment Submitted by chatGPZ on 17 August 2006
uhm isnt that track originally by the sexpistols (or atleast, some punkband from that era?) | User Comment Submitted by TWR on 17 August 2006
The title reminds me of that old classic Holy Moses track. :-) | User Comment Submitted by DRAX on 17 August 2006
