lots of nice touches. unusual colouring. localness (locality?). hella nice-to-watch fx. this is a feelgood stuff.

...but i'm afraid those cute blinking petscii creatures stole the demo for me (then ate it and fell asleep).

Riddler , Trasher and me are originally from two towns in northern sweden: boden and lule氓. trasher and riddler knew each other from school, and i met them in the early 1990s at meetings we had in boden and kalix. the first meeting was Boden Party 1991 which resulted in the Boden 1991 demo, released just after riddler's birthday and just a few days before trasher's birthday. a few years later, i joined the group Active together with both trasher and riddler. we released a bunch of demos, most notably O-Tech People (#2 at Assembly 1997 ) and O-Tech People II (#2 at LCP 2001 ).

for me, this was an important time in my life that i cherish and frequently think about. so when trasher and riddler turned 50, this was a good excuse to make a celebration demo for them and for this time of our lives. O-Tech People III is the result.

this demo includes a bunch of references to the other o-tech demos and things from around the time they were made:

* the petscii dudes in the basic fader and the strechy ones later in the demo are from the directory art of O-Tech People
* the intro, which starts with a "no profik" text, is a reference to M茅rgez艖 Anyag 3. which is a personal favorite 1990s demo. that demo starts with the text "no fairlight" - now finally fairlight could provide a response, some 30 years later.
* the dual fires are references to the use of dual fires in both the two earlier o-tech people demos (but a bit hotter this time around!)
* the burning sprites and the ecm plasma logo are references to the various dithered effects from the o-tech demos
* the plentiful boden references are to the various boden meetings and the demos we released there: Boden 1991 Boden III Party Boden Wurd-Demo ROTRRIWODO and others
* boden hockey is the local hockey team in boden, where Active is an official sponsor (no joke! check it out: https://bodenhockey.se/partners/ )
* the two all-border spirals (@jackasser: these are not like your basic fader - these are all-border unexpanded flescos animations, the first of their kind) are a reference to the all-border spiral from O-Tech People but here updated to the latest tech
* the authoritative-looking dude also appears in O-Tech People but this time we see him twice. they are both converted pictures from tage danielsson's book typer from 1970.
* the ik+ guys also appear in O-Tech People II
* the snurkel scrollers use the same technique as the dypp scroller in Boden 1991
* we finally get to see that match-stick picture of boden's fortress from tage danielsson's short story about karl-bertil jonsson's christmas eve (from sagor f枚r barn 枚ver 18 氓r, 1964)!
* the big [A] behind the basic screen at the end of the demo is the signature of Active and was originally used in Trident Music Collection #3

Cool! Some very neat effects in here .. the stinky balls (is that a name now?) and the spirals are standouts for me. And JackAsser - this is Trident. His spirals go into ALL borders - this isn't 2014 you know :p

Stinky balls are strong is this one, just like its' creators. :D

And very nice hires James Bond spiral in the upper and lower border. Didn't notice on the compo how it was made (Too blurry eyes), but kinda evident now. Same "trick" I use in the Basic Fader for the unreleased Booze demo.

Now finally I was able to see Trashers and Riddlers birthday greets!
Interesting concepts of fire!, noticed other demos using similar effects! like dissolving, but these fiery effect on the balls was really nice and nice all border animations.
