When this was done I didn't want to comment on it, but believe me, my colleagues and I really had a good laugh when we first saw this demo version ;-)
It seems that those dudes didn't have anything better to do than spending the whole Breakpoint night typing in dozens of pages of the game manual - that's what I call having a party, LOL. When they found out that something was wrong with the char conversion (upper/lowercase letters) it was too late and they left all the text in ugly lowercase. Then, after hours and hours of typing like junior secretaries, they linked everything and noticed that the game was behaving "unfair" sometimes, haha...
Whenever this version is started, any one of the following things will happen at random:
1. Normal gameplay
2. Several planets will have 666 native ships added
3. The "buy the original" message is displayed and you can't play
As I said -- it's not a crack, it's an unauthorized demo version. |
