Thank you, Murdock, for showing me that I'm not the only person who dislikes to download dozens of d64 files with just one 4k intro in them - good old party disks rule!

Too bad that this demo wasn't showed properly :(

Question to organisers: will be there any official pack with all C64 releases? Would be cool to have all msx and gfx and intros in one disc than download 20 separated files.

Franky said: "...we cannot show the same graphic effect over and over again on the bigscreen."

Edit: So you organisers decided to kill the demo becourse one effect was some seconds to long? That makes absolutly no sence. And you made the demo off before the best effects of the demo was shown! Also the tune got later some good changes, also not shown. And a work of 2 years from Bytecult are done for nothing. He worked together with Zeitgeist only in his spare time. We are very disappointed.

Edit: You stoped the demo after the scrolling Pantheon.

G-Fellow, I'm sorry if you found that we (BP Organizing) did not show your demo till the end. Myself and Bitbreaker watched it till the end multiple times and, honestly, altho the graphics and music are quite good we cannot show the same graphic effect over and over again on the bigscreen. All demos were available for download on the Party FTP so people could look at them later on their own.

And yes there were some network issues during the C64 compo that even I got 'slightly' upset about and we've already started working on this so that it will not happen again.

Grtz,

FRaNKy - BP2006 C64 Organiser.

Yeah there where some problems with some of the c64 demos. Singular and TRSI had some problems too. They did re-show the Singular demo which was great, but when asked if we wanted to see the TRSI demo again no one was that interested.

I´am really ANGRY about the organisers at the Breakpoint 2006 ! I have read at this moment the party report from Bytecult per e-mail! And what must i read? In the half way of our demo "Prophecy and Fate" they STOPPED THE PRESENTATION ! >_< And they dont restarted it!!! The best parts of the demo and the music was not shown!! That is cheating! Btw. by other C64 demos on the party was also problems, and they restarted the demos but NOT OUR DEMO! Blame on BP2006 for that! Bytecult was going to the organisers but nobody helped him and they was unfriendly! Later Bytecult talked to one of the C64 BP organisers, and Bytecult asked for a statemend to put on the web-and voting side of the BP 06 that the demo was not completly shown. The organiser said that will be made, but on the next day Bytecult checked the page for this, and there stand nothing. Now is Bytecult total disappointed and he will never do such a big projekt. And iam angry now. Look what for demos are before us! No wonder when only the half demo and best effects of our demo are not shown. 2 places higher that would be realistic for us.

Who cares if there was no seperate c64 music compo. All top 5 places of the oldskool music compo are covered with SID tunes, so no problem :D

This looks like one hell of a pardey! Lots of cool releases.

Breakpoint 2006 unfortunately didn't have a seperate C64 music compo, so C64 tunes competed in the oldschool music compo. Similarily the Pinball Dreams preview competed in the multiplatform 96KB Game compo. That's why the results for these compos look incomplete here - the rest of the entries were non-C64. You can see the full results at ftp://ftp.untergrund.net/breakpoint/2006/results.txt

Great party. Nice to meet the data people again.
Too bad it really felt like there was hardly any interest in the c64 productions from the other sceners.
Hopefully next year more c64 sceners will visit.
