I wouldn't be surprised if those exist, the two first 2008 demos were there pretty quick.

It's impossible to beat those who are ready to click "Add release" the very second the calendar overflows. ;)

You should request text to be sent in as screencode in the first place. :D Then use another magic pseudo: !binary. :)

From Richard/TND:
I used ACME to code the demo, and it had a function, which was !scr. So I wrote all the text hand by hand, as I wasn't aware of any other option. Especially when each !SCR line was limited so I had to type everything from the notepad into the source code. I also tried my best to correct everything. Sorry if there were any errors in the scroll text.

There's some "hand-transfer" bugs in my scroll text which change some meanings, couldnt you just copy&paste? Unicode -> ASCII shouldnt be too difficult even under time pressure.

This is the original one:
"Welcome to the world of C64 roughness... ho ho ho, na... seriously I havent written a scrolltext for a long time and it feels unusual and not really that delighting as back in the heydays of my demo group The Ancient Temple where I loved to do scrollers, especially with friends and good SID music in the background. Nowadays, as most of us probably, my 64 activations are a lonely thing (apart from virtual contacts of course), my old local C64 friends have gone different paths, my current friends have close to no knowledge about computer underground. A funny thing was that last year when a female friend of me who is 17 years old me were doing a funny round of computing games, mainly MAME, I showed her the most obscure C64 stuff like Party Girls, Sex Games or Hitler Diktator. As her humour is close to mine she had a good laugh. Main reason for this scroller is of course to wish everyone reading it a happy new year and so I do: Happy New Year. Mine doesn't start that nice as I like to, first of all my chronical muscle disease has worsened rapidly the past months and it's sometimes to difficult to use a computer because of the pain and even better (didnt loose my humour thou...) I caught a terrible flu with fever, lung pain, sniffles and all this annoying stuff. I hope it's not pneunomia cos I hardly edged from that peril last year already when a doctor said to me if I hadnt come to receive a recipe of antibiotics it would have become dangerous. Fuckings to all brainfucked nerds who know nothing, say nothing and lack everything like the lamer who runs Spankerz Heaven, an incredibly childish attempt of reviving teenager desires. Off to a more interesting topic: I had planned to do a really great partying night today but with that terrible flu - impossible! After being vegetarian/vegan for app. 8 years I changed my food quality app. 2 years ago to meat and not so healty stuff, maybe that's also a reason for the current decline. Oh well, guess I need to eat more apples and stop smoking. cheerios! travelling to 2008"
