Yeah, what Groepaz said.
And I'd love to hear some background information on how this was made.

Jammer, how long does it take to produce something like this?

I like the vibes on this tune.. so it gets my vote simply on that front. good work =)

Let's put it like this: The vote system works ok as soon as the number of votes is high enough (around 30-40, rough estimate).

mr mouse >> i meant this particular COVER competition, not in general :P i guess votes at csdb are much respected.

Okay, so votes mean nothing at CSDb. It's a pity, because then all these Top Demos Top Groups lists are all bullshit. Upvoted by friends. It's like the Eurovisionsongvestival : Eastern Europe votes massively for Eastern Europe songs, regardless of the quality, while Southern Europe does the same.
If I see a music release with such a high score I download it eagerly, to be amazed. What a dissapointment if it turns out to be overscored yet again.

Just like when you're walking in the green grass a lovely summer day, as soon as you look away for a second there is a snake right under your bare feets.. as I(along with many others) been pointing out to vote is not just about to throw in points. The vote-system should be more complex and not just have a single "vote point". Enough said, let the music speak :D

I admit, I was caught in the heat of the moment and the sounds just blew me away. After the intro it gets a bit repeatitive, but after all it's a cover and the original tune isn't really rich in that aspect either...
I shamelessly downvoted that tune now to give you motivation to improve, ha! ;-)

MrMouse: Besides, csdb voting system has always been over exaggerated in general from my experience.
also, when I said "INFINITY out of 100 !!!" it's just my way of being nice to commenting a tune I really like, without saying that it's the best thing man has ever created. (although I did say that in some way as well, which is another example of being nice. :)

mr mouse >> i guess votes here don't really matter in this competition. voting sheet on c64.sk counts for real :D

I do not understand why people vote 10/10 so easily. It takes away the true meaning of voting. If this gets 10/10, then what do truly good songs get? Bah.

i can't see the hype here. sure, we have a deeeeep bass which rocks but what else is spectacular? the ringmod? nah, can't hear it anymore. for me it's hard to enjoy after listening three times and cauldron II has much better sounds imho.

good work nevertheless but never ever this is a 10. no offence. greets to the arranger. ;)

I´d give a 9 for sounds, but overall the song is rather repetive, and a bit bland. It´s cool in the beginning, but then fades to mediocracy, if you take away the initial suprise of the cool sounds.

This is the result when you bring out the chemical punks in the desert. It feels like the peach tree and the holy golden grass made a nice impression to be able to call out someone to make a remix/cover of such a lovely song. So far this one made Laura wet as a sponge into the water, the royal queen even lost her bra as the subwoofing sounds pushed her along the bed for the ol gnarl's hips :D Good song!

the baseline and drums are f*king awesome and the main melody too, but the rest of the melody seems forced and is too loud.

killing technique, but my unfriendly, repulsive self doesn't find much more here. 'big beat' and 'not a jazz', while infiltrating roughly the same area, both brought me far better news.

@Linus: Well, my ass IS rather hairy, if that counts?! ;-)

Superb tune, with kickass sounds!
Even though I tend to prefer more melodic stuff. :-)

I liked the preview more, with additional screechy stuff it became sort-of ear killer but that extreme bass reffrain saves the day. This musician sometimes performs like an "uncontrolled misile" but this time it is straight hit. ;-)

Absolutely fantastic instruments... My favorite part is the intro, the rest is so so, but that's a matter of taste in music really.. It's a very consistent tune, very well done.

Impeccable sounds! The choice of cover is a bit bland, but maybe that's just because I liked their earlier stuff better. The best part in this is definitely the bassline.
User Comment
Submitted by Steppe on 3 February 2008
When the bass kicks in it really sends my stomach on a rollercoaster ride with several loopings in a row. I still can't grasp how one can make such fat bass on the sid, it's awesome!

this one's battling hard with cauldron on my list. can't say that i know the original, but i'm guessing it's again vocals that are $5x'ing their way through the tune?

.. maybe you hairy bastards[tm] got me to try out 8581 at least once. the sounds are convincing =)

It should be at Xiny6581 site tommorow. He will eventually put link here. I'll add MP3 links next to compo entries at c64.sk tommorow sometimes in the evening.

somebody do an mp3 recording of the real thing please ;)

yo this is teh shit. as usual from this composer it sounds downright flat in Sidplayers, use the real 8580 SID chip or Hoxs64 in the resample SID sampling quality setting.
