Totally missed this out until today. Very nice to see it. This would have been a nice loadingscreen for an Ocean-game (possibly for a bad movie-conversion). I'd love to see the Freeload flashing in the border too... :-) | User Comment Submitted by The Shadow on 2 July 2008
Can you imagine if this kind of stuff went commercial in the 90s? Nice art. | User Comment Submitted by Jammer on 1 July 2008
it would definitely look like this those old ocean days ;) | User Comment Submitted by spider-j on 30 June 2008
@Merman:
Sounds like a gfx hack of Impossible Mission could do the trick. ;) | User Comment Submitted by Merman on 30 June 2008
@Deev:
It would have been a platform game with puzzle bits in it, where Neo had to hack into a computer :)
Of course, you could always ask Cadaver to reprogram Metal Warrior to become The Matrix... | User Comment Submitted by cadaver on 29 June 2008
@Richard: Yep, that would be suitably hard & cybernetic. | User Comment Submitted by Richard on 29 June 2008
@Cadaver...
The Jonathon Dunn Ocean Loader 5 tune maybe? | User Comment Submitted by cadaver on 29 June 2008
At least you'd got to have multicolor sprites with singlecolor outlines, energy meter that starts as Neo's face (substitute Morpheus/Trinity if applicable) & changes to Agent Smith as you get hurt, multiload, and credits instead of lives as per Ocean's late license traditions. Plus crap gameplay wouldn't hurt :)
Btw. picture is excellent, would just have preferred some of the classic Ocean Loader tunes as music. | User Comment Submitted by Deev on 29 June 2008
heh well it's got me trying to imagine what a Matrix game would be like. Not a bad picture, though I think it could probably do with some dark grey shading between the black and green. You probably did a better job with this than Ocean would've done with the license! | User Comment Submitted by FMan on 29 June 2008
Heh. Cool picture and a nice idea! Now I want the game too. :)

Groovy Trooper. First step: the loader! For the game I suggest to ask MTR :) | User Comment Submitted by leonofsgr on 29 June 2008 User Comment Submitted by spider-j on 29 June 2008
Cool idea. But you forgot the flashing border ;) | User Comment Submitted by Mace on 29 June 2008
Nice and original surprise!
I updated the screenshot to a proper unscaled PNG, to match the quality of the release ;-) | User Comment Submitted by Paul Bearer on 29 June 2008
Morpheus' shades look a little odd, otherwise a good picture. I love "fake" stuff like that! | User Comment Submitted by Richard on 29 June 2008
Good picture. Matthew's music fits nicely with it. Clever way that you make it look like one of the classic Ocean loaders too. :) | User Comment Submitted by Motion on 29 June 2008 User Comment Submitted by The Phantom on 29 June 2008
Cool picture. Although I do think the sunglasses could have used a little more shading, too black I think. | User Comment Submitted by Higgie on 29 June 2008
nice ocean loader tribute! | User Comment Submitted by camper on 29 June 2008
nice picture,i like it.
But the sound is unsuitable for this picture i think. |
