Guaranteed Drax but in my ears far from his best (Tristesse for example).. The only thing in this one that really hit me was the ending. You see I'm more into melodic stuff, nice groove in this one though.

Great, great! Please do not change your "standarts":). Btw. I like two voices solo before the end very much.

Such an awesome tune. Thomas has really got that special MON style worked out.
Mixed with his own funky Drax funk it makes one of the best tunes i've heard for a long time.

Such an awesome display of SID and musical craftsmanship.

EDIT : This tune deserved #2 in the compo!

Top 10 material in my alltime list of favorite SID's

Thomas showed me the tune right before the compo on headphones and I liked it right from the start. When it played at the compo it took me almost 2 minutes to recognize it. I thought "wtf, why didn't he enter the tune he showed me before???". Still, a very good tune with some catchy lines starting at 1:30. I like the melodius Drax stuff better, though. Time to listen to Star Flake again! :)

It might not have looked like it for an outsider, but I had an amazing time, just sitting there, watching you and 6R6 compose, and Archmage pixel. I just can't do'em that way, respect! An'it's all good too, so keep'em coming! Sound system at the party didn't do this one justice, though.

I found this recipe from an old soul food cook book.

"Standard Funk Drax Tune"
(traditional Danish food)

ingridients:
2 cups of polished and well balanced sounds
2 cups of superfunky grooves
2 cups of jazz
2 cups of MoN melodies
20 more cups of superfunky grooves

mix them together in JCH editor and fail because you're not Drax.

Eargasm! :D What has already been said, cathy melody, great choruses and lots of neat little details. And the more I listen to it, the more it grows on me.

In my humble opinion, this class Drax tune deserved a better position at the compo!

Mhhh I wish my natural instincts were constructed for understanding of this kind of rythm and arranges about it. Melody after 1:25 is very good singing stuff though. I love more of your simple things based on more catchy melodies.

...and I'm glad to hear the the ensemble that gathered around the latest X-Compo.. music scene still going strong as ever.

very good tune as allways from drax. for me
it`s a little bit underrated. deserved to be one of the top 3 at the compo. after all these years, i still love your style ;)

its a hit, it has all, and it combines several elements in the melody, so you move through more feelings as you loop it. thats how music should be!

What Jammer said, this one is a winner. The chorus just knocked the shit out of me.

Thanks for the positive feedback... I am glad that you liked the chorus, Jammer... Next time I will definately not make a standard funk drax tune but try something new :)
