Simply a 10 score track :) | User Comment Submitted by DRAX on 19 August 2018
I remember that too - certainly brings back good memories :) | User Comment Submitted by Flex on 19 September 2010
Guaranteed Drax but in my ears far from his best (Tristesse for example).. The only thing in this one that really hit me was the ending. You see I'm more into melodic stuff, nice groove in this one though. | User Comment Submitted by Orcan on 14 November 2008
Great, great! Please do not change your "standarts":). Btw. I like two voices solo before the end very much. | User Comment Submitted by lbp on 13 November 2008
i agree on that. this tune is just never getting boring. | User Comment Submitted by Stainless Steel on 13 November 2008
Such an awesome tune. Thomas has really got that special MON style worked out.
Mixed with his own funky Drax funk it makes one of the best tunes i've heard for a long time.
Such an awesome display of SID and musical craftsmanship.
EDIT : This tune deserved #2 in the compo!
Top 10 material in my alltime list of favorite SID's

Ufff....I was confused for a very long time which tune should win the music compo at X,but now Im 100% sure - here is my personal winner ! | User Comment Submitted by Steppe on 1 November 2008
Thomas showed me the tune right before the compo on headphones and I liked it right from the start. When it played at the compo it took me almost 2 minutes to recognize it. I thought "wtf, why didn't he enter the tune he showed me before???". Still, a very good tune with some catchy lines starting at 1:30. I like the melodius Drax stuff better, though. Time to listen to Star Flake again! :) | User Comment Submitted by _V_ on 30 October 2008
It might not have looked like it for an outsider, but I had an amazing time, just sitting there, watching you and 6R6 compose, and Archmage pixel. I just can't do'em that way, respect! An'it's all good too, so keep'em coming! Sound system at the party didn't do this one justice, though. | User Comment Submitted by Archmage on 29 October 2008
Normally I am not too found of jammy tunes, but I like this one. Nice and bouncy. Yay! | User Comment Submitted by Hein on 29 October 2008
Good tune from Drax, filled with nice suprises that invite to listen again. | User Comment Submitted by Richard on 28 October 2008
Really cool and funky tune. Hope to hear more ;) | User Comment Submitted by tempest on 28 October 2008
I found this recipe from an old soul food cook book.
"Standard Funk Drax Tune"
(traditional Danish food)
ingridients:
2 cups of polished and well balanced sounds
2 cups of superfunky grooves
2 cups of jazz
2 cups of MoN melodies
20 more cups of superfunky grooves
mix them together in JCH editor and fail because you're not Drax.

Eargasm! :D What has already been said, cathy melody, great choruses and lots of neat little details. And the more I listen to it, the more it grows on me.
In my humble opinion, this class Drax tune deserved a better position at the compo! | User Comment Submitted by CreaMD on 28 October 2008
Mhhh I wish my natural instincts were constructed for understanding of this kind of rythm and arranges about it. Melody after 1:25 is very good singing stuff though. I love more of your simple things based on more catchy melodies.
...and I'm glad to hear the the ensemble that gathered around the latest X-Compo.. music scene still going strong as ever. | User Comment Submitted by DRAX on 28 October 2008
Oh, almost forgot to say thanks to you, Stainless Steel, for letting me use your laptop to finish the tune ;) And also a thanks to Booker for letting me use his headphones ;) | User Comment Submitted by DRAX on 28 October 2008
Oh, thanks alot... these comments really make me feel good... thanks again ;) | User Comment Submitted by Kasmo on 28 October 2008
very good tune as allways from drax. for me
it`s a little bit underrated. deserved to be one of the top 3 at the compo. after all these years, i still love your style ;)
greets

its a hit, it has all, and it combines several elements in the melody, so you move through more feelings as you loop it. thats how music should be! | User Comment Submitted by Stainless Steel on 28 October 2008
What Jammer said, this one is a winner. The chorus just knocked the shit out of me.

Thanks for the positive feedback... I am glad that you liked the chorus, Jammer... Next time I will definately not make a standard funk drax tune but try something new :) | User Comment Submitted by linde on 27 October 2008 User Comment Submitted by Jammer on 27 October 2008
i struggle with a thought that this one should have won ;] one of the most catchy choruses heard in recent years :D | User Comment Submitted by lbp on 27 October 2008
