More complex than all our other intros yet completed quickly and effortlessy on one summer afternoon, except the 1x2 font that I had done earlier. Impaler had those coding rushes when he either was trying to beat some shadebob world record at home or dropped by and demanded something to work on. I've always wanted us to have an intro with a bigass swinging logo so we sat down to it. My "deadline" was shorter because I was drawing using my mom's colour TV and would have to free it by the time she was back from work. Impaler coded using my shitty old russian 14" b/w TV and didn't mind, at the time we had no prob distinguishing which shade of grey represented which colour =) He finished first too, anyway. "The Pride Of Poland!!" could and perhaps should have been done using sprites but Impaler went with interlacing because it was harder (thus more fun; insert random nostalgic statement about 90's teenagers here). At $3000 was a tad bigger than I normally approved of in terms of intros (I hated how Bacchus/FLT would always beat my cracks by filesize) but you can't keep a good coder down. Same day I've done a decent crack of Detonators +7 and used this intro with an uplifting track by Cane, another piece I'd normally consider too big for an intro. Thanks to allowing ourselves a bit of luxury we had one more thing that the cool guys, that we wanted to be like, had - an intro with a bigass logo and flashing colours and shit =) I loved days like this one, no idea why they seem to have happened so scarcely.
