I just find it a bit un-challenging and middle-of-the-road.

Finally something to cover one of my favourite bands. Alongside Laxity I admire the work done. A complete cover. Not just a half hearted bar or two.
Just work on your sounds (esp. the drums) and your effects (vibrato arps) and it would be just perfect!

If you mean the beginning, it's not a snare, it was supposed to be 'CLAPS', like in the original...
In the other parts there are 'Snare' sounds coming, maybe they're more suitable for C64 SID...
BTW, I was listening it in Sidplay2w, and hihat was very low-filtered, wasn't sharp enough.. recommended to listen on real C64, or at least VICE with interpolated & oversampled sound settings...

Huh, this was hard to finish...
This is a cover to one the of the best music bands in the world: Mezzoforte
In general I think this is the band, that plays most nearly similar music, like C64-music.. |
