Read the docs on how to use it if you are in doubt ;-)

Either flash the single crt file your usual way, run it in vice via 'x64 -cartcrt mmzmken.crt' or use the d64-images and launch EasyProg from the first one.

The now enhanced savegames contain the current room you are in (if its distinct), the running number of the savegame (so you see "ah, this is my 23rd savegame" and the amount of time you played till then (roughly, but pretty close. The latter is timed for pal/ntsc and should work on both.
