The release frequency is insane! :D
But keep em coming. You have the network and contacts for great support music, gfx and articles. The king among diskmags! Looking forward to the 60th issue!

I totally agree with PAL. So much love is put in every issue of VN. Hope to raise a glass with you guys at X this year....

I love VN for the effort and the dedication... I wonder if there would be more correct info in there if all were to maintain their info on csdb... I guess so... csdb is our own special place in cyberspace,we should treat it like a bible, we are the few ones, the strange insane idiots stil doing c64... so what is here must be current is my thought... thanx again for a very good issue of the mag that is the c64 peak-of-all-magazines!

Jazzcat: I just can't belive you (VN) actually thought The Hidden still was a Laxity board. I call your bluff, sir.

CSDb is just some website Groepaz? Nice to see you hold it in such high regard. Your point is a bit weak, considering this is Vandalism News you are talking about. Unfortunately some current groups do not maintain their entries on CSDb, hopefully they will in the future and on their websites (if they have them) as well (especially if they do not respond to emails).

"Regarding The Hidden BBS, I check the entry on CSDb and the groups that show are"
good old times when journalists would actually check the infos themselves and not just copypaste them from some website, eh? =)

Redback: Thank you! It was very fun to make. Despite the use of a photographic reference I think it turned out ok, although I'd prefer to have more of the warm tone into his face.

Still fascinated by the Jack Tramiel multicolour. Nicely executed touched-ups and enhancements to his pin-stripped suit in a very limited space.

Style: thanks :D Yeah, could have edited that chapter but left it in original form... Murdoch's empire would not do that right? Long live the C64 media! :P

You gotta love any mag with enough journalistic integrity to print "ONSLAUGH LUVS TEH COK!" :)

Style: haha, yes, glad there was not any more Chrome members to write in that live chapter... haha! I was too hung over to counter the text! ;)

Love the drunk-talk from flashback, I can barely remember writing some of it. Enjoyed most of the rest of the mag too!

Massive effort! Great reading. Although the suite is a bit worn it still gets the job done. I was especially blown-away by the details in "World of demos" sections by the Sword Masters =) But I enjoyed reading pretty much everything else too; thorough cover of "The list"! Keep up the good work, guys!

The List and The List Bonus was entertaining reading this time, just as expected. Quite a good overview on the sorry state of cracking in these days - and by sorry state I don't mean that there is a lack of releases.

It was interesting to see that the World of Demos consisted of 3-4 pages of demoreviews while the detailed dive into gfx and music filled up the rest of the three chapters. And that comment regarding that old The Stock-graphics bundle being refreshing really made my day... :-)

just for the record: intro music covers 'half life of absolution' by pat metheny group.

I like this style, however the font was a bit hard for the eye to read. Music is excellent! Lots of nice news, aswell.

Didi: yep for sure. I think the very first mag to go three sides was Skyhigh. Prior to that, every disk mag was two or one sided. However with a better packer (Exomizer compared to Turbo Squeezer from 1992) I will be fitting everything on 1 or 2 sides! \o/

And maybe to show which Disk to insert. Old outfit was abviously not made for more than 2 disksides. ;)

Didi: sweet, will of course update in next VN too. Hopefully the next issue will be sometime later this year, depends on that outfit, will be nice to have a modern packer and fluid source code!

Didi: I cannot remember as I haven't called that BBS since even earlier. But, CSDb entries should be updated, it is not my responsibility :D

Thanks for your comments guys!

Well, I check things on CSDb and stuff like that, of course a lot was rushed to get the mag across the line but still, some nice text and exclusive news (despite the crashing bugging bastard editor I hope to never have to use again).

Regarding The Hidden BBS, I check the entry on CSDb and the groups that show are:

Genesis Project (HQ)
Laxity (HQ)
Fairlight (Support)

Maybe needs some updating? :D

Vandalism News Diamond Edition on its way! New outfit (hopefully!!!)

Yeah. There are some obvious errors that should be pointed out for the public:

1. The Hidden is the G*P WHQ.
2. Dinosaurs have nothing to do with G*P. If any member of G*P works with Dinosaurs in any way it's their own thing. Bad Taste is another matter and often stated as the G*P fake label ;).

Thanks for intervewing me. It was fun. Macx did a good job there, and as always there are a lot of other things very well made in VN. It feels like I have waited for this issue forever. And I hope you all like my Gubbdata report. <3

Radiantx: Yes unfortunately there should have been a blank line, obviously you read it too quick and missed:
"...picking one out of the bunch and listened..." which separates your work from G*P although ending up in the same paragraph.

The intention with the text was to try to put different things and weave the content in a more broaden context. Perhaps without the clear definition of names and groups mentioned everywhere it could cause some confusion. Our apologies.

Very solid issue, enjoyed most of it.

News III - very rushed, editor was crashing etc. Also DEATH did not join Oxyron, he joined Arsenic. Sorry about that print. Enjoy the mag - a party edition!
