| It's for sure a highscore power ballad. Would fit perfect on games like Commando and such. You get the highscore, but the bitter taste of killing 300 people on the way needs a tune like this... good job! |

Though I like Dane's compositions occasionally, this is like watching Flash Inc in slow motion.
But to be positive, the sounds is as usual excellent, the build up around a general lead and repetitive emotional basses and drums to convey the circular motion, which Dane masters. Canons, which are more of echoes of different instruments really, but tells a general story (yes it's felt as his tunes is sung always) just to come back where it all started. Now that is clever.
It's just good enough against personal likes or dislikes to get the tools from whatever you find in there. |

Cool! Yes, i agree. Bitter sweet. Kinda like finishing fallout 3...
And to me it's very much like a highscore piece indeed. Only longer and more variated.
Kinda cheating not doing a brand new tune though.
Of course, I'm doing the same thing... 😁
I've got more work until its finished though. Inspiring stuff! I'll try to be quick!
Edit: oh, and of course I agree about the liking ones own tunes.
I'm not TRYING to do music. I do it the way I like it...

Ole Marius - I finished it in August and have been saving it for an upcoming music disk, but your initiative made me want to showcase it a little bit earlier. :)
I don't know what expectations people have where "highscore ballads" are concerned, but for me personally this is one of the most bittersweet melodies I have ever churned out - a sad start with an upplifting chorus. And for me that's what you feel at the end of a game - exhiliration because of what you've accomplished mixed with a great sadness that the fun has come to an end.
Would it suit a game? I don't know. Is it a great tune? Well obviously this is the way I like them or else I wouldn't have made it. :) |

This should be the 3rd.
It has sad mood not hymnic or heroic, as a high score needs.
Beeing on a hi score means to be happy, becuase you are a hero of that game. :) |

I think this is a great piece. Nice variations of that that theme. Lovely arpeggios and I love that melodic lead, man :)

I will not vote on any of these yet as it is close race... I think as of right now kristians tune is more suthing to me.... but this one is so tight and all... and gfellow is abit behind but all that can change... I will listen to all that come and then vote... it is so cool that you music artists take that challenge and stir this place up abit... we need more of these stuffs... the scene is all loving it!

This is definitive a high-score power ballad!!! I love this tune also. :) Really amazing Dane! So much emotions in this tune, made with love.
