its quite easy to eg get stuck in the surroundings in both T1 and T2 for example, indeed. | User Comment Submitted by enthusi on 21 January 2013
Nah, you can fully complete this game and as deekay pointed out, its quite massive.
Lacks some of the level design when you're used to T1+2 but still rocks hard.
There is a working EF version running already. Missing ingredient: time, lotsa time. | User Comment Submitted by SIDWAVE on 21 January 2013
too bad this game isnt playable.
it has bugs that stop the game, and you cannot save your progress. i only played it once, till it got stuck, then i forever forgot about it. | User Comment Submitted by DeeKay on 21 January 2013
I'd just like to point out that I did manage to crash (or "lock up") Turrican 1, too, repeatedly! <:-) The original, so it's no cracker's fault! And I'm sure I'm not the only one.. Still people seem to have completely forgotten about these bugs after all these years, and I'm sure the same will happen to T3, which is really a massive game! ;-D | User Comment Submitted by jailbird on 7 November 2004
Loaded it only once, looked at the nice graphics, explosions and stuff, and I kinda liked it. I hardly ever play games, especially C64 games are outta fashion at my model agency...
If it would be a demo, I'd beg for an option to skip the boring parts and see the fun stuff only. | User Comment Submitted by hannenz on 6 November 2004
very nice to have a sequel of the best action game ever done in this century. t3 is not perfect but smash design has done a very good job as always! | User Comment Submitted by Nafcom on 31 August 2004 User Comment Submitted by M-Forcer on 31 August 2004
if you take a closer look, you ll see
a translation :-)
| User Comment Submitted by TDJ on 31 August 2004
M-forcer, on this board there's a rule that people should only post in English. We realize there are more German people here, but that still doesn't mean you can break that rule. You probably didn't know about this, but fortunately it's not too late to translate your original post :) | User Comment Submitted by M-Forcer on 31 August 2004
that impolitness suits to boy aged 10
not to a man born 1974
so i suggest you improve your manners or shut up.
| User Comment Submitted by Puterman on 31 August 2004
M-Forcer, I'll just quote Cyberbrain: "ENGLISH ONLY!!!!" So please, either write in English or shut up. | User Comment Submitted by M-Forcer on 31 August 2004
@mermaid
hey, there are also some geman folks around here.
it s not necessary being rude because of somebody is not able to express himself en anglaise :-)
so plz stop that sauerkraut bubble | User Comment Submitted by Nafcom on 29 August 2004
Yep that game is good, 13 years later after Turrican II, that is great! Thanks, AEG, KB / Sonic / Jeff, great! | User Comment Submitted by cbmhardware on 29 August 2004
Excellent design and concept with some tiny bugs. But damned, it is 2004 and we play Turrican III - big thanks to Smash Designs ! | User Comment Submitted by TDJ on 29 August 2004
M-Forcer: could you please translate your very interesting looking comments in Dutch, Finnish, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and French? Oh, and English too. | User Comment Submitted by diabolus on 29 August 2004
Excellent game, nice work AEG & co.!! | User Comment Submitted by M-Forcer on 29 August 2004
(Grüße an EGGE)
ALSO IHR NÖRGLER...
MACHTS NACH
ANSONSTEN
SHOOT OR DIE....
DANKE
(Anm. der Red.: Der Verfasser hat seit Sonntag nicht mehr geschlafen...)
though including many bugs, this title bursts into the olymp of c64-games
above all turrican 3 has one thing:
a damn good gameplay and a mapdesign worth enjoying it
back to the roots when the exit hadn't signs for completely dull people
you must search - and you must lighten any corner
greetz to egge
to those people complaining about the return of the fist or other elements of the original turrican titles: be told that there can't be enough fists in turrican exactly as there can't be enough stormtroopers in star wars
i hope someone will do a version only with fists someday
factor 5 didn't succeed in doing such a great game since their md/snes turrican creations as we have it now on this small commodore and it's a turrican a la carte even flickering and jerking
so you crabs...try to do it your own way
or else
shoot or die
thanx

I AM IMPRESSED!!! As a huge fan of the Turrican games this follow up is worthy the name. Although I've only played Turrican I and II on the Amiga and completed them I'd say that the gameplay on this C64 version is absolutly top. It features the classical Turrican themes such as the big bosses with really predictable pattern etc. :p I LOVE IT! I will probably go home and complete this game aswell. | User Comment Submitted by Dbug on 28 August 2004
(I voted 7, because of the bugs. If ever they correct the problems and release a new version it would probably deserve a 9.)
Basicaly it's a good game, a quite good follow up of Turrican 2, but problems of sprites flickering and huge slowdowns makes it sometimes totally impossible to play in some areas.

Best game in 2004! Congrats Smash Designs and to the musicians and to the rest of the T3 crew to make this game possible.
PS: The bugs must be fixed, but iam sure AEG will do it and maybe he add also the game intro of the game in front of it! | User Comment Submitted by T.M.R on 28 August 2004
Shame about a couple of fairly nasty bugs, but overall it looks and sounds very nice and is a worthy successor to the Turrican series. Well worth the download and playing *properly* from the ori. | User Comment Submitted by leonofsgr on 27 August 2004 User Comment Submitted by Hein on 27 August 2004
A very nice follow up. Main character animation could have been more dynamic. The rest of the game is awesome. Big colourfull levels, nice music and very good gameplay, which is most important. Thumbs up! | User Comment Submitted by LordNikon on 27 August 2004
nice work! It seems that i am playing that thing the whole week ;) | User Comment Submitted by Richard on 27 August 2004
Simply the best game for 2004. I enjoyed the game and got addicted to it also :) Well done AEG and crew! | User Comment Submitted by Cruzer on 27 August 2004 User Comment Submitted by Jazzcat on 27 August 2004
After 7 years of work it is done. I dislike the bugs, but most programs have them, I hope they get repaired - either by the original game-crew (preferred) or by a worthy cracker. A nice game and certainly worthy of being the official sequel to Turrican II: Final Fight.
Game creation on the C64 at this level is not an easy feat. Congratulations to the game-crew and to AEG for their efforts. |
