...update to the previous. It seems resetting VICE settings might cure the problem and thus this might not really be an issue in VICE itself.
Anyhow, that was my immediate reaction as I remember having this exact same problem myself some time in the past, however instead of debugging this further / fiddling with settings, I just updated to newer version of VICE and everything worked "out of the box". |

My understanding is that the music itself plays ok, however, the visualiser doesn't work for channel 3. This is a known issue with certain old VICE version(s), where reading channel 3 envelope from SID does not work as it does with the real thing. In order to save CPU cycles, the envelope value for channel 3 is read from the SID chip instead of running it through the envelope "simulator" which is done for channels 1 and 2.
This issue has corrected long time ago already, so updating to a newer VICE version should fix the problem. |

It's already the 2nd comment you write telling you don't have a 3rd channel in Vice.
Your vice is not only very old but also must be mis-configured, 3rd channel works here, try Settings/Set default settings and retry. |

This track has grown on me over the past few days.
Via Sidplay (through my Sony amp connected to my 30+ year old Bowers and Wilkins speakers) Sucisap sounds good, almost non C64 ^_^
