@raistlin & @wile coyote: the scroll indeed uses interlace/subpixeling to emulate a higher resolution than what is natively achievable with expanded sprites.

@hcl: the trick is the good old $d016-gap-in-a-ghostbyte-layer, but this one also has open sideborders, which i *think* is a world first. but i may be wrong. (so please correct me if i am!)

@bob: i wish i had the time to thank you for your kind words, but i really gotta rush. there are so many rasterbars still out there that are waiting to be coded!

Wow Congrats Epsilon! Welcome to the exclusive old boys club! ;)
Trident: didn't you just released a demo like yesterday or so? so now you are pushing demos on daily basis ? That is impressive!, I don't know how you do it but your activity put us all to the shame hehe..

Great demo! Totally love it.

@WEC: it looks more like “subpixel” than interlace I think..? Very similar and effectively the same cost… but, yeah, maybe Trident can confirm? It works really nicely for me - gives a very nice rounding to the font that’s otherwise lost with the x-expanded sprites.

Very clever with the “10” sprites, too ;-)

@HCL i see.. 8 sprites + 2x tricks.

I wonder why they interlaced the yellow font on the first screen. There was no need for that. I guess there was a reason? maybe..

@Wile Coyote: 10 sprites!?! Must be some kind of trick or? Strange enough those two I:s aren't even moving.. hmm..

The super chunky FARILIGHT logo works surprising well, although the raster bar movement in the same part looks oddly robotic.
In the final part.. is that 10 sprites on the same horizontal plane?
The screen feat. image of Sir Epsilon moving in all borders looks great! ^_^
..and hApPy B'dAy!
