André, PLEASE finish this! :-) | User Comment Submitted by Roysterini on 2 February 2015
Only just seen this and Enforcer 1 today. Very nice indeed.
I really hope this one does get finished. | User Comment Submitted by daison on 3 January 2011
Played this for the first time on the real machine last week.
It impressed me a lot more than the time I checked it on Vice.
I really hope the full game will see the light of day sometime, an amazing shooter already... | User Comment Submitted by Joe on 10 December 2008
I'd buy this game twenty years ago and perhaps
I'd even buy this game today. Great effort! | User Comment Submitted by Richard on 6 December 2008
I love this preview. Brilliant graphics, atmospheric music and also incredible gameplay. However, which I dislike about this preview is the loading time. (Frozen with Action Replay as 2 separate files). Apart from that. Everything is excellent. I hope you guys do really well with production of the full game as people just can't wait to see it released. | User Comment Submitted by cadaver on 4 December 2008
Liked it, though I'm pretty much at the end of my rope concerning Turrican/Katakis tributes in new C64 productions :) The char-boss felt a bit odd and Speccy-like though, but understandable as it launches quite a barrage of sprite bullets. The Z-direction "wall" 3D effect was sweet as a ninja. | User Comment Submitted by Hein on 4 December 2008
Great. Needs some tweaking and polishing, but a damn fine basis for a killer shoot 'm up. Especially like the parallax effect. | User Comment Submitted by daison on 4 December 2008
What about the music, is this final? I remember playing Katakis and feeling a rush out of Chis' music. Especially on tune#11...
The tune in this level didn't really boosted the game imo. Also, it's quite low on volume compared to the sfx. A shooter as this really needs some uplifting music to make it ehr... ROCK! :)
Anyway, great work on the engine, it really 'feels' solid already. | User Comment Submitted by Raffox|HF on 3 December 2008
Well... I love the backgrounds with those random thunders, very original indeed!
But, allow me to say it, those walkers are nasty ;P Please improve!!
hehe, good job anyway! | User Comment Submitted by Sorex on 3 December 2008
first glance reminds me of Phobia, the balls/dots just got replaced with some other chars.
Phobia +14DHFR
besides that it looks quite nice indeed. | User Comment Submitted by Burglar on 3 December 2008
awesome gameplay, but indeed, a bit fresher lvlgfx would make it rock even harder.
any news about the copy protection yet? ;) | User Comment Submitted by Twoflower on 3 December 2008
Nothing wrong with leaving the background graphics on a Turrican 2 level - it feels allright. I do, on the other hand, believe that a lot of work could be spent on polishing up the sprites and the animations. Compare this to the work which Luca put down on XeO3 project - or even the work which Frank Gasking put down on Sub Hunter +3F. Even the old predecessor Katakis easily outshines it.
The parallax effect is really nice, and the 3D vibe of some of the objects seems to be clearly inspired by Teradyne Warrior Preview.
Now, please just add Eskimonika as a title-tune and let us buy the fullprice game! | User Comment Submitted by MacGyver on 3 December 2008
There are not going to be further previews before the final release.
Level graphicians are still wanted - for serious offers, please contact us! | User Comment Submitted by Oswald on 3 December 2008
hell yeah! but please stop releasing them I'd like to have some suprise factor for the later levels when the final is out:) the gfx could be much better indeed if the work would be given to one of the scene's professionals :) its at roughly Turrican 1/2 level atm imho. | User Comment Submitted by Jammer on 3 December 2008 User Comment Submitted by T.M.R on 3 December 2008
Like the way it feels as a game but i do agree that some of the background graphics need more work. The Thundercross 2 style depth effects are gorgeous though... =-) | User Comment Submitted by Cruzer on 3 December 2008
Lovely parallax scrolling. Some of the gfx could use a little more work though.
