on the view where one can see what happens on the screen on each cycle, it would be nice if the screen was also viewable how it truly looks, and not only the full screen would shown according to the register settings in that cycle.

Seems like an interesting program... but.. Does anyone get keyboard mappings to work on mac? I use a macbook pro with Catalina running on it. When I press keys on my keyboard I do *not* get the keys that are displayed on screen in the "C64 key mapping" part of the settings. For example, pressing SHIFT+2 does not result in " but in ]. On the whole, a bunch of other keys also result in ] rather than the expected character. For example SHIFT+4 also results in ] rather than $, but SHIFT+3 results in # and SHIFT+1 results in !, so some of the keys do work as expected.

The keyboard mapping files seems to be saved in some sort of binary format, so it isn't easily edited/inspected/corrected outside of C64 Debugger.

Other than this, the program seems to run just fine on my machine. As I said, it looks interesting. I haven't looked into it until now, but I have noticed that many other people seem to appreciate it a lot.

sprite positions displayed in decimal, while everything else in hex, without any notification. would be nice to see when cehcking cycles if sprites are being drawn on THAT line or not.

This program is indispensable for me.
Not only does it offer realtime view of the entire memory but also features sprite , image , vic , sid debugging and editing tools

What are the chances of it getting Mega65 support ? Pretty please ..

Just now compiled from git and works nicely. Seems I have to dig into it a little :)

Look... I reviewed this again and it is a GTK bug.

v0.025 (2016/03/26)
Tweaked disassemble code functionality
Added: VIC/SID/CIA/Disk state screen
Added: assemble mnemonics is possible in code view by pressing ENTER key
Added: Linux GTK3 open/save dialogs

This release proves this. I really would like to have a proper GTK implementation here. Hope you can help :)

This looks like a bug in GTK, will check. This time I am using NFD library and it seems for some reason it crashes badly on some GTK installations for some reason. This works perfectly fine on my Debian 8, both x64 & i386...

You can set to use my own bad-looking open/save file dialogs, just switch in Settings to not use system dialogs.

Same problem as compyx on this Debian 10 box. Compiled from git sources with same result. "Aborted" on crtl+8.

This still aborts on Linux when trying to use any dialog (ie CTRL+8), gdb isn't helpful either since all debug symbols are ripped out.
