Release id #175355 : Smuggler

Laurel and Oliver Hardy signed "T.C.S." on their cracks. Teesside Cracking Service immediately comes to mind, but these cracks seem to predate TCS.

In the comments on this one TLR points out that D. Chiles is The Omega Man. This has to be a smoking gun.

Does anyone know if "Laurel and Hardy" is actually an early formation of Teesside?

Plausible, especially as no one ever was able to solve what the (as of yet kept seperate) "TCS" acronym would be standing for.

Not sure though whether that's enough evidence to merge TCS with Teesside Cracking Servive or we need more info.

Buzz Off has the same sys line number and text, so another crack one year after the game release.

Crystal Castles is "2300 SYS2065 TCS" ... a different cruncher used there?

What's interesting about that particular screenshot on Smuggler is that it says "Superior Software". Meanwhile on GameBase64, the same title screen states "Abbex Software"

"Abbex Software" (presuming it was also known as "Abbex Electronics Ltd" also made games on the ZX Spectrum, and so did the Omega Man crack on that platform.
