Handle id #10383 : Silents

I did not add this, but as the smartass I have become I have to point out that this is infact not a scener but the group Silents (The Silents). Then again, this db does not support groups being members of groups.

So, how should this kind of information be archived ?

in my database i handle it like coops. usually "groups being member of groups" was just a way to attach a known groupname to your unknown group anyway.

No, it wasn't like that, really. The umbrella-groups during 1987-89 was a fact. Especially as some groups didn't exist as demo or crackinggroups in the first place, but were constructed for this sake. And take the example of the swedish group Front (of Riffs), which later died. Some time later, Life was formed and joined up as a part of Riffs and basically kept Riffs going.

My view on the matter is that the main group (like f.ex Life) was the local platform, while the umbrella-group (like f.ex Riffs) was the international cooperation that group was a part of. Much like a national country and the European Union. Heck, ask TDJ about this, he even was a part of (/formed?) one of these umbrellagroups. This is not just a coop. This is an important part of the early C-64 scene worth to be documented.
