Relocating tunes...

I'm working on a project that involves having several tunes higher up in memory, rather than the standard $1000 area.

I'm trying to put 4 in memory at the moment running from $5800 to $87ff. 3/4 have relocated nicely to the spots I wanted them in but the last one refuses to go. I used the JCH relocator on the first 3, and the 4th song was done by the same guy so I'm assuming (but I dont know for sure) that he used the JCH editor.

I tried JCH relocator v1 and 2 but neither worked. I keep getting an "illogical error" no matter where I try and put them in memory.

Does anyone have any ideas for me to try, or know if a chap with the handle of Replay used a different editor for the tune called "Point of View"?

If the programs fail to help you with this,I have no problem doing it manually.
Have done it very often in the past. 8)
It probably won´t take more than 5 minutes.
Just let me know.

Wow,that must have been a lot of work.
Unfortunately the link is broken.
Anyone?

Besides,I am a Monitor-coder,could use the challenge of relocating a tune again. ;)

The link is broken, you're right. It can be found here though:

http://c64.rulez.org/onslaught/c64misc/music/Irelocator_v301.zip

I added the link to the csdb database for the Irelocator program.

Thanks for your help guys.. am going to play with this new program for a bit :)

I can easily relocate for you every tune you need! yes. Just send me the tune and tell me the location you need. I'm using turbo reassembler and turbo assembler for relocationg the tunes. I relocated hundrets of several easy or hard tunes (with Tim Follin player too).

greetings!

Ah sweetness! I got it figured out :)

One of the programs I tried said it was a DMC4 player routine... loaded the program up in DMC and sure enough I could transfer it and save it my first try. Thanks guys for the help and offers of help!

I know this is old post, but for those who stumble upon here I've just added Turbo Reassembler v2.0 here (inside Yap Tools): Yap Tools V1
