Nice with the mixing business!

Sander: Haha.. I find the following comment quite hillarious regarding the multispeed tunes in that mix:

"They sound very different to regular C64 music, sometimes you can't even recognize them as SIDs at all. "

Hahahahahahahaha!!!

Shows just how blind some c64 people are to how SID sounds compared to other kinds of music. I guess people get so used to it, so they loose ability to judge the way things sound. :)

I mean.. give me a break. Most (not all) of those tunes contain VERY sid'ish sounds (blippy leads, arpeggio chords, etc), although perhaps slightly more hifi than usual. This is the same good old nerdy c64 stuff, through and through, as usual, I'd say. :)

@Frantic: Well, yes.. i thought of the line 'Sids you thought were not', i felt it rolled nicely off the tongue and made a nice statement. Tried to wrap it up in a small 'concept'.

But indeed, that other subline doesn't make much sense and tries to give an argumentation while the initial statement was mostly a nice onliner/slogan.
(And it really wasn't me who thought of that other explaining text, but a c64 musician did :)

Thanx Burglar, very nice, too...

No plug-ins, no synths, no effect-processors...'júst' 100% Commodore 64 SID power!
-----

Ok, i used some plug ins from Logic8 in the Mix, a small delay, reverb and some other shit but the sound were really coming out of an real SID Chip, out of the HardSID...

I'm working on another DJ Remix with more Loops, phrases and more made out of the original sampels, it's much more work but it's very, very funny to work with the original sounds...

Let's see, i need some time to finish the second DJ Remix.. But it's coming, someday.. ;)

Much of it is nice. Is there a list of tunes somewhere with approximate times? I guess you could have almost called it the Jeff half hour.
