Music for Hessian?
Hey,
for little over a month now I've been composing music for the Hessian C64 game project (http://hessian.googlecode.com)
There's still quite a lot of level-specific tunes to be done, so if anyone is interested, I would be glad of a co-musician or two! The game will be a sideview action/adventure with story, nothing unfamiliar to those who've played Metal Warrior games.
There are some technical limitations involved:
- NinjaTracker V2.03+ required. You can use the GT2->NT2 converter, if you heed its limitations. I've actually used that route as well
- Packed/relocated musicdata (gamemusic mode, no player code included) must not exceed 2042 bytes
- Expect channel 1 to be interrupted by sound effects.
- Instruments should generally not use full available ADSR volume so that sound FX can be heard over music. There's my songs in GT2 format in the googlecode SVN already, so you can use them for reference
I'm mainly looking for looping "level exploration" kind of music. The songs I've made so far have been typically a little over 2 minutes. If there's memory to spare then it's OK to have a fight/boss music as the second subtune, but not at all mandatory.
If you're interested, contact me preferably via email (loorni@gmail.com). You can also post questions here, if answering them doesn't require level/story detail spoilers. |
