New feature "also by" wreck listings
The new feature "also by" in listings is a great feature, but it's risky as it might end up breaking the entire table.
If you check a random group, say Triad, the listing is ruined by some very long coops. Second column doesn't start until out of the screen...
A forced truncation would prolly look like sheit tho. If we can't have everything, I'd say the most important thing is to see that in fact it is a coop at all. And if there's not enough space, names in the entry itself is fine. |

Have it as a mouseover pop-up? |

Yeah, wow, totally lost the right menu options. What a disaster
Did anyone actually test this? |

Maybe we can just wrap the text on those long ones?? |

Hm. Sorry!?
I got a request for this feature, and didn't think it would mess up things. Didn't on the one I tested on, but can see the problem with Triad! :(
The person who requested it havn't seen it yet - I think.
But if the "also by" string it too long, would it be an idea to cut it off, and show the rest in mouseover? |

I think the "also by" idea is good, but I see no real point in listing all groups for releases like DOTY. Maybe if # of groups > 4 print "n other groups" and list them in mouseover instead? |

For me, it's enough to see that there *is* more than one group. And it's fine that I have to go to the entry itself to reveal which groups.
Zyron: Problem is that you only need a coop with Success+The Ruling Company to break the list =) i.e. can't rely on the number of groups.
Mouse over, fine but don't over-complicate it. A small icon, symbol or whatever next to the release name will do it for me =) |
