Scrolltextwriting, the art of

Something I've been missing @ csdb is the possibility to vote for scrolltextwriters. Strange, since scrolltexts are a big part of what made our scene so special.

So c'mon Perff, gimme a chance to honor the really great ones, like Goldrush/Crest & Rowdy/Fairlight ;)

The ESI intro for Pirates!, Cooper demo and some We Music/WCC comes to mind just now. Will dig into some newer ones when I get my head free though.

we dont share the same views. in my eyes those prods lacks quality in all aspects for me. code/sfx/gfx/design/invested work.

hmm seeing that we have a 'top webmasters' category, I have changed my mind, and now I second tdj in the need for scrolltextwriter job.

oswald: can i point out "star flake" by maniacs of noise as an example of great added value of good scroll text co-existing with jaw dropping high quality music and very very high quality code. I agree with you that I don't always enjoy just the scroll text in many productions when the other components suck too, but you asked for an example so here it is :)

I always loved a good scrolltext writer who could capture my imagination and force me to sit and read an entire scroller.

a scrollewriter must: tell you who he is, tell you what happened since the last time you saw his scrolls, tell something about the demo, tell something about the scene (news), and send greetings, and fuckings!

also a scrollwriter should get personal in at least one case, so the reader can really get a view into the essense of things.
