Strange Vice 3.2 sprite color set behaviour...

Beforehand: set up and make visible 8 hires sprites on screen. Simply basic pokes could do the work.

Then open Vice monitor and try to change sprites color using something like:

bank io
f d027 d02e 01

>d027 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01

it should only work in part, or it will not work at all.

Setting each sprite color at once seems to work, like:

>d027 01

I'm using x64sc 3.2 r35579 (Gtk3).

Is it just my problem?

its a bug, it happens because the i/o write is delayed in the emulation, and only one variable is used for buffering writes to color registers, and then it will really get updated in the next clock cycle (which never happens inside the monitor). thats why it will only update whatever is written last.

its not easy to fix, please open a ticket on the bugtracker
