Strange - I was just thinking of the C*Base 128 incarnation for the first time in like 10+ years. R242 - the version linked at Tao's HP isn't the 128 version, afaik. I believe you are referring to the version that was developed (or only sold and supported?) by the sysop of The Gray Hawk's Lair in Virginia, US? This version ran in native C-128 mode - last version i've heard about was v1.2C.

This is the info I managed to find online at a quick googling - (note: the author ought to be Dan Drury):

"Peter Elsner writes "C-Base 128 was written by a friend of Gunther's, Dan (I think it was Patterson but am not sure)." When Dan gave up the C-Base 128 version, a person in California (who I can only remember as Dark Overlord) and myself took over programming for the C-Base 128 program. We created dozens of door games and made hundreds of modifications (not to sell but to give away to anyone who was running C-Base 128), and we fixed numerous bugs that we found at the same time. Dan gave me the source code and told me I could do with it whatever I wanted, but Gunther still owned the rights to the name "C-Base", and he ended up selling the code to the author of Color 64/128 BBS (also for the Commodore)."

The author of Color64 is Greg Pfountz. He should be possible to locate.

Correct, that link is for the c64 version, not the c128 version, thanks anyways.

Thanks for that info, I read that too when I was searching earlier today.

Anyone got contact info for him? Thanks.
