Since the end of april is nigh ... how about a sequel? :D

Finally a compo where the hardcore coders can scuff their teeth. :D

User Comment
Submitted by Mixer on 9 April 2016
Sorry about flooding the compo, but its just that after submitting one version new optimizations were suggested.

BTW. I found a 1995-ish-implementation of the Sierpinski triangle in the demo Xmas Pack by Pajda of Faith Design...

Should we split out the BASIC vs ML entries? I did with mine, but am not going to edit others' without discussion.

Submitted by Skate on 28 March 2016
@Cruzer: We missed you pal. I feel both lucky & unlucky that you've missed this compo. :D There is still a few days to go though.

Wasn't even aware of this compo since I'm in coding hiatus, but great to see all the crazy creativity going on!

CSDb is no compo platform.

Whether it's become so by default or not, custom categories would still be useful for reporting purposes. Still, I can well understand why it would be a pretty low priority.

CSDb is no compo platform.

Otherwise it is just a matter of definition. Maybe put smaller ones into the C64 Demo compo category then.

User Comment
Submitted by ChristopherJam on 23 March 2016
It's a shame csdb doesn't support multiple compos for an event beyond the usual generic categories, otherwise we could have separate lists above for "single hires Sierpinski Triangle at least 128 pixels wide" vs everything else.

Ok, ninedotski was silly, but charmodeski's semiserious, albeit coded in the shower and uploaded ten minutes later without any optimisation. Still bending the implicit rules to breaking point, but at least the output is sensible..

Tee hee :)

User Comment
Submitted by Didi on 22 March 2016
I am always astonished how people interpret rules, even if there are none. :D

User Comment
Submitted by Didi on 22 March 2016
Thought more about codesize. ;)

User Comment
Submitted by ChristopherJam on 22 March 2016
Did someone say no dimensions?

User Comment
Submitted by Didi on 22 March 2016
Nah, no rules. Just fun. Nothing to win. Try to beat each other in size.

User Comment
Submitted by Bitbreaker on 22 March 2016
What? Rules? I did not see any rules :-D

User Comment
Submitted by Jammer on 22 March 2016
And what about dimensions? ;) Volcano and Skate employ proper ratio/angles for that figure :D

User Comment
Submitted by Jammer on 22 March 2016
What are the rules then? Are participants supposed to follow fractal routine or result is just supposed to look like Sierpiński's pattern? ;)

User Comment
Submitted by bugjam on 22 March 2016
Nice idea. :-)
