DGGR: That would have been easier. But I used the japanese characters from the MSX computer while the latin characters come from a GEOS font.

Haha nice! Looks like you've used the Japanese character ROM?

The_WOZ: I like it! I will have it running on a SX-64 at work. :D (And I added a packed version on a d64).

This was a quick modification due a request at Lemon64.
I was calling the music init routine with a random accumulator.

Added a fixed prg.

Music wasn't an issue on my side, in pal or my native NTSC settings. I do, however, have to run it in PAL before I comment further..

OK. Same issue in PAL.

Music is fantastic (way better in PAL, duh). Nice melody to it.

In both PAL/NTSC, there seems to be a few screen lines that stay on screen. I noticed this right away in NTSC, which is why I had to see it in PAL, but the same issue. Lines 2-3 and seemingly every 3 lines down the characters do this.

Not that this takes away from the effect, because you've come damn close to how the matrix looks to human eyes :D

Good work!

Oh! I didn't any blonds or brunettes, what's that all about?!

One of the better "matrix screensavers" I saw on the C64. Great music!

@music not working: only doesn't work with emulator if you don't turn true drive on and virtual device traps off, not that hard to figure out ;)

Shine: Music works fine here. The Woz made a silent version in November 2006. He just added music in 2012.

Nice. However, I think this is a great candidate for extended background colour mode. Just invert the font and limit to 64 unique chars, that way you will only need to update the screen RAM.

wtf ... music? lol

EDIT: I cannot hear anything using this prg file (vice&ccs)! This added sid is great :)
