Will be another new Wonderland? In my opinion - this top of the tops C64 demos, light years far from some other boring (although with impressive effects) demos. When somebody who does not know what C64 is, I show him this. Everytime with great succes :-)

Great demo, which plays in the same high quality league, than it's predecessor. Both demos i give 10 points.

it's bizarre to read some of the comments on poet for this demo, from people who don't know what a c64 is.. THIS DEMO ROCKS. I have to crack the speakers from time to time with the endpart+really inventive design and colours+massive routines.

I'm amazed... From start til the end.
The two dudes dancing made me go "What!!!!" . Cool demo guys!

The endpart with Smack My Bitch Up digi's was so fracking great at the party! True awesomeness, hats down gentleman. The rest is of course magnificent, too. Can't find words, so I'm just sending a hard hugs for Censor Design spirit!

What a thrill. I love you guys. The keyboard keys is one of my favorites here, never saw that coming. The chrome girl is really great art, as well as the 'solenoid'.
Bob keeps inventing new variations of his scrollers lol. And then the last part, I feel like I'm in a nightclub. Great vibes.

I believe you may have a faulty RAM issue or Power feed/wrong voltage issue on your C64. Please try the demo on another C64 to verify.

This demo is pretty mindblowing. Especially the Prodigy part.

I have some graphical glitches on my setup though :

see 30s in.

Robot Lady has flashing squares and dodgy looking blocks of color. Any ideas ?

The scene can be cruel. How hard you want something to be the end result can be different. But Censor delivered again at an X party and others did not. The trick is to rise again.. What ever happens.. That's the scene to! And have the momentum again in 2018. It's just a hobby :) But what a great demo! X is always unique to experience! It's just state of the art! Smack my bitch up!

Top notch music score with unobtrusive and cleverly built in digi elements. When I saw Bos by Bob I said. nice, but so wasted as a standalone release. Then I watched this: WOW!! The bob snakes are incredibly put to WONDERFUL use in here. Enjoyable and rocking demo, I only miss Eddie and the old censor logo! Why are CRT and Lavazza marked as inactive on CSDB?

What Trap said but...
I like Joe's and Creeper gfx even though Joe's horizontal 3 screeener looks actually unfinished (due to no dithering probably but its interesting trend)
On party I would probably vote because its , well , Wonderland

The digi part is amazing

Submitted by Trap on 5 November 2016
Loved the opening :)
Graphics looked unfinished to me and the design was lacking. Were you guys running out of time? Other demos you wrote were a lot more polished than this, but your demos are always extremely entertaining and that counts for a lot! This one is no exception.
Favorite part: infinite bobs :) Gotta love those poppies :)
Disk 3 felt like an add-on for the rest of the demo?

A lot of goodlooking stuff put together without a plot it seems. Swallow is a magician.

Probably my favourite from the compo. Lots of colour, good looking effects, and Joe's pixel style gets more and more amazing. Then the Prodigy part at the end really hammers it home!

Like PAL, I had such extreme expectations for this and the Hitmen demo that I was a little disappointed at the party. I watched it again and it is surely mindblowing and very enjoyable, but still, next to LFT's demo I'm not sure I can give a 10 ever again. Which is probably unfair.

Hypnotized, rapt to a level that is difficult to come back with this demo...

so Eddie is blonde now... let's keep it like that. I really like all aspects of this, it features awesome code, superb gfx and the music just fits so well. Nice transition ideas with those planes etc, the bob-stuff kicked as and those layered parallax stuff was just something you have to think about a little :-D

As I am a great fan of the old prodigy stuff I was amazed about such an amiga-esque Digi part.

really awesome work. nicely done

The digi work is fantastic. The C64 would run out of memory with just a few samples, but as it keeps loading from the disk you're actually able to get most of the Prodigy in there! :D

Rock solid demo, with a good pace, cleverly built layered routines, and an ace digi that has some of the cleanest bass drums I have ever heard on a C64. Fave is the flip disk part with the rotating bob snakes. That one is actually similar in principle to Cruzer's stuff in the Arsenic demo. Joe, your pixel art is really unbelievable in this one again. Bob, Ez igen! :)

Perfect. It's so perfect! (...) Until it asks you for side 3 to make your ears fucking bleed in lame 90s style. Still solid 9.

What and insanely cool demo is this! super strong Joe design, and the Bob routine of the year (reminds me of raymarching or however pc sceners with their teraflop machines call it).

The Prodigy part had me dancing, while I should've been looking for my jaw that dropped on the floor somewhere many hours ago already.
And as DK said, reminded me of the immaculate Spaceballs demo where I always thought "what a shame this cant be done on c64", I have been proven wrong :)

Thanks!

thumbs up big time for swallows effort this time. the prodigy-samples were great, combined with the visuals. a real crowd-pleaser so to say. but i also did like Bobs and CRTs parts quite much. the gfx were a bit of a mixed quality (some pretty awesome, some look a bit rushed, for example the wonderland 13 logo and some gfx here and there) - but i know the reasons for that - and in the end most of it looks pretty nice and awesome! congrats for #3 my dear mates in censor! well deserved in a strong competition.

Have looked at this demo over and over again today. Well I actually said to Magnar at sunday that I was most disappointed by the censor and Hitmen demo... well the hype of both were so massive so I guess I was to be disappointed no matter how great they would be... But I also said to Magnar that in a day or two or so they would grow more on me and they sure did and this demo the most... Magnar you did music that are super and the code... well... the code is out of this world or scene actually and maybe the demo is such a demo that need to grow a bit as it is just a massive seed of splendor... thanx for creating this demo and it is one of the best ever!

Ossum! As I said to Weasel & Neotec during the compo when the "Smack my bitch up" was playing: "You remember how Spaceballs' "State of the art" on Amiga with the dancing girl blew everyone's mind? Well..."

Wrong Bob in the credits. Also, did CRT leave Censor?

"Censor Design (7-1989 -> 28/10-2016)"

O_O

Anyway, great production guys! Loved to see the sketches and different work stages, Joe!

Not a typical Censor demo designwise, but still very, very nice! Can't believe this ended up in 3rd place, really have to check out the other X-demos... The soundtrack was exactly in my taste, and the end part has the best sounding samples I've ever heard - sweet fx too. WELL DONE!

Submitted by Sasq on 30 October 2016
Technically brutal, with lots of stuff not done before (even though some of it required half-framerate). Lacking a bit design wise. If you'd spent another year on transitions and design it could have been an EOD killer ;)
