Absolutely brilliant in terms of design and palette. | User Comment Submitted by chabee on 3 March 2013
very nice graffiti style! | User Comment Submitted by DeeKay on 23 February 2013
I like this! ;-) The color choice is very unusual, but for some reason it makes it look more like a bitmap logo than multicolor! ;-D Also, its style looks *extremely* unsuited for 256-char conversion, but somehow it seems to fit! 8) | User Comment Submitted by NecroPolo on 23 February 2013
Is that really 3 colors? Man! It is. You're tricking what I can see :) It has some hi-tech feel to it. | User Comment Submitted by Luca on 20 February 2013
Quite original cool colors choice! | User Comment Submitted by v3to on 20 February 2013
processed the logo with the tile generator of pro motion. it sais 253 unique chars. | User Comment Submitted by spider-j on 20 February 2013
Of course everyone can use whatever tool he wants. It just gets confusing when half of the comments are about if the logo actually fits into 256 chars or not. And as enthusi pointed out: it gets even more confusing when releases are 'tested' with PicChar even if they are already charset... | User Comment Submitted by Yazoo on 20 February 2013
i really wonder about some complains about "those picchar users..." who use it to "count" the chars.
@enthusi: to answer your question:
the rules say:
---
- Entries have to be in simple multicolor mode (Koala, etc) or multicolor charset (max. 256 chars).
---
which means why should every graphician ask a coder (or code it himself) if he can make a displayer or whatever when thats not necessary to meet the rules?
talking for myself... i didnt know that picchar didnt work correctly, so why the hell would i have done this or that? i am not really interested in the technical aspects of displaying the logo, i am only interested to make something which meets the comporules.
ok, now i know better (thanks to enthusi)... the char-counting of picchar seems not to be 100% perfect.
lesson learned
i guess the organizer (didi) made those rules to make it as easy as possible for graphicians to compete. so if he wanted it another way,
he would have made other rules i think.
now everyone, go and make a logo yourself :)
@leon: sorry for going offtopic, but had to say that. | User Comment Submitted by spider-j on 20 February 2013
Have you PicChar users actually ever looked at the charset output? Often there are garbage chars. Don't know if it's a bug or it has something to do with the provided koala.
And yep: it was probably a mistake that didi allowed people to hand in other formats than just charset, screenmem + displayercode. On the other hand: he is the one who'll have to check all those entries :-) | User Comment Submitted by BHF on 19 February 2013 User Comment Submitted by Cruzer on 19 February 2013
Very colorful for the mode | User Comment Submitted by Burglar on 19 February 2013
what enthusi said! check the prg, its chars ffs.
and, nice logo! | User Comment Submitted by enthusi on 19 February 2013
Im a bit disappointed by some comments.
You check via picchar and dont check the actual release even?
This IS MC char text mode and quite frankly I dont get why people even submit koala-viewers to this compo. | User Comment Submitted by Yazoo on 19 February 2013
edit: i wonder if picchar is the right tool anyways regarding enthusis comment for It's Green! | User Comment Submitted by Shine on 19 February 2013
VERY NICE, but PicChar V0.13 says 290 chars ;(
EDIT: MAYBE i am wrong :( Really don't know | User Comment Submitted by Yazoo on 19 February 2013
