Excellent in so many ways. It's as if the c64 palette was made for this picture.

What Randall said. Still, green tone getting warmer with distance is quite unusual solution ;) Total ownage for me all the time ;]

There's indeed something of a photo graphics quality with these plants. Zajebiste gosciu :)

something i haven't noticed before: the difference in coloring between the plants, depending on distance. to paraphrase Oswald, i didn't know that C64 has 8 shades of green. amazing!

Why only eighth?! It's the best graphics I've ever seen on C64.

True masterwork with real perspective and lighting, interesting colours. Set it as my wallpaper. Somehow it's really complete to me, I don't miss the details which might be missing due to lack of time and other circumstances.
Instead, I like it exactly this simple but perfect way...

Ok - I will try all pictures later. :)
After reading my comment - it may sounds not very nice for Amn - sorry pal - no offence.
I know conversions and plagiarism are acceptable in gfx competition. Trying to deal with it. But for me as graphican it will always be kind of lame an unfair.

Well, I meant his less fractal and probabl older works ;) Or maybe recalled just one of his pictures :D

I didn't know that the guy exist before - but after short visit in galery... NOT, I'm not interested too much in retouched conversions with some random mess around - sorry ;)

But about "style" - probably this one looks quite similar to my other pictures made this year:

<img src="http://artcity.bitfellas.org/gallery/j/jok/35750_diune.png">
still unfinished (made at Deadline partyplace)

<img src="http://artcity.bitfellas.org/gallery/j/jok/34512_outland-jokdre..">
finished at "Revision" - 32 colors a500

<img src="http://artcity.bitfellas.org/gallery/j/jok/34769_vip_aurora_by_..">
atari ST - 16 colors

Ofcourse many demoscene artists influenced my style (if such thing exist), and on c64 we have full variety of real pixel masters - but i'm not trying to mimic anybody way of drawing

Something was ringing a bell when I was thinking about similar style. And I've come to conclusion that it resembles Amn/Resource a bit ;)

Iike - yeah - but my photo of course (and heavily recomposed/altered for this picture)
no conversion and other dirty tricks

thank you guys for nice words ! - means alot heard from you :)
especially considering circumstances:
- first multicolor since 92
- made at the party with horrible obstacles and time stress
- sleep ratio for entire week was about 3h/per day
but finally I was really happy watching this at big screen at as great party as X was :)

Considering the time restraints you were working under, this is well done! I do feel it isn't finished as it is, somehow. And that you could probably do better on the C64. Hope it won't just be this one picture!
