In Lotek 33 there is quite interesting information about this release. Unfortunately it's in German language. RESPEKT!!! | User Comment Submitted by pcollins on 8 November 2009 User Comment Submitted by Count Zero on 4 November 2009
tbh, no - I love my 1541u just soooo much. :) --- however, enslave him to crt this nice one! :)
Frantic: battery backupped GeoRam. | User Comment Submitted by Jazzcat on 4 November 2009
C0: hah! I also own a Retro Replay originally too, jealous master? ;) | User Comment Submitted by Frantic on 4 November 2009 User Comment Submitted by Count Zero on 4 November 2009
JC: I'm quite happy with this one and the concept of Neoram. I have this on the real machine as cart
!HAH! Proof that enthusi is just enslaved by JC to support his cocky hardware only! :) | User Comment Submitted by Jazzcat on 2 November 2009
Massive work. I'm quite happy with this one and the concept of Neoram. I have this on the real machine as cart with the mouse but had fun testing it on VICE with the Georam attachment.

Id build a neoram but the static ram chips are $20 each! | User Comment Submitted by Tom-Cat on 2 November 2009
I second this: -> Someone should hack this game so that it runs from generic DOS devices. Wouldn't it be nice? | User Comment Submitted by j0x on 2 November 2009
Ah, so you finally released it, enthusi. Kewlness! | User Comment Submitted by NecroPolo on 2 November 2009
Absolutely top-notch! C'grats for this wonderful release! | User Comment Submitted by TSM on 2 November 2009

Great crack. As others I'm looking forward to REU/Ocean cart release so many more users can fully enjoy this one on real thing. The reversing work of VM adds bonus points too :) | User Comment Submitted by MagerValp on 1 November 2009
Great to see that you finished this! Can't wait for the CRT or REU version.

This is what its all about! Releasing old classics that are enhanced for todays modern c64 gaming freak :-) Phenomenal effort enthusi. 2 thumbs up!! | User Comment Submitted by enthusi on 1 November 2009
Thanks for the nice feedback! yeah, ocean crt is intended. No upload times as would be for REU (every time you play). Also the easyflash cart at a low price supports it. NEOram is less spread but still available/simple to build and battery buffered...
Look out for hidden cheat and hidden intro tune :) | User Comment Submitted by 6R6 on 1 November 2009
This is (edit) insanely cool!
But I wish for a version that supports REU 512kb (many people have reu and 1541u) Or even better: convert it to the 512 kb ocean cart format (will work in 1541u).

everything is at top, but lacks a geo/neoram detect. 99.999/100 =) | User Comment Submitted by Count Zero on 1 November 2009
Crack looks well performed and has some nice additional content - however, it should state neoram _only_. At least it always seems to think there is a georam unit available while there is none (emu test here).
Also - isn't REU much more spread and would deserve support on such a system? :)

Fantastic! I'm playing it right now and worx great!! | User Comment Submitted by enthusi on 1 November 2009
Launch with SYS 57000 or SYS 57E3 once image is in neoram.
F2 toggle the new intro to be launched previous to game via F1.
Make sure to press F3!
F4,F6,F8 is for the advanced user ;-) just to dump/restore your savegames to disk in case you want to share them. NEOram keeps them in memory via battery anyway. |
