9 out of 10. Good stuff. Bootsy Collins on base :) Music reminds me of the Follin bros. Awesome graphics. Original. Spectacular coding. Awesome presented.

Again with the downvoting: This demo deserves better than 7. IMO: They should be identified and restricted from voting.

Did not expect too much C64 stuff to be released at Xenium, but man am I happy I got proven completely wrong!

Great demo guys, and that given theme was embraced with style!

On the fun-fact side: one day after this got released, I took a walk outside, striving through fields nearby. At some point I realised all the sounds and noises from the animals&insects around - and the first thing that came to mind was this demo (especially the *very* atmospheric end part). Had to re-watch it directly after coming home, so, after some more days, I finally *had* to comment on this!

Thank you for this gem :)

This is a great surprise demo, especially if you tensed your buttocks and prepared such a cool production in such a short time. I would never thought that it would be possible to make a production under a folklore theme, which would be so interesting and beautiful. Great effects, graphics and music. But hey, this is what we should expect from Elysium Super Cocks ;)
Thank you, it was a pleasure to share this pleasure with you at the party.
Special shout out to Jetboy for coming back :)

Wow, we're absolutely blown away by all your amazing comments! It's like getting a big, warm, virtual hug from the whole C64 community. Thanks so much for taking the time to check out our little folk-inspired digital ride!
Special shout-out to everyone who appreciated the music. Our SID maestro Shogoon is probably blushing right now... and hey, if we made your kids annoyed by playing it loud, Raistlin, we consider that a bonus feature!
For me personally, this project was more than just a demo - it was a bit of a comeback tour after some health hiccups. So seeing your reactions? That's better than any rehab I could've asked for.

Big thanks to the whole Elysium crew, our guest stars - Mikael and Joe, and everyone who contributed their bits and bytes to make this happen. You all rock!

Thank you for all the warm comments and feedback. Keep them comming - this is what keeps us going :)
It's so heart warming to get props from so many people we know and admire. We were not sure how the demo will turn out - Xenium party ogranizers announced that the theme of the party is folk. Initially we thought that is very limiting but it turned out that in many cases - the limitations make you creative. And the whole clash of folk and modernity (c64 demo fx) forced us not to be serious. Still unsure - we invited Mikael&Joe and Shogoon delivered the first patterns of the soundtrack and all the floodgates broke and the production work and ideas really started to flow. The rest is a history. We tried to blend different techniques here: hardcore vic tricks, realtime rendering, incremental screen buildups using our lossless animation packer and pre-rendered quantised animations all of it infused with humour, references to polish folk, village life and pop culture.

Haha, this is fantastic! Awesome, awesome demo. So much style on show here. And the music is just PERFECT, I totally love it - and it really annoys my kids when I play it loud so that's even better :-)

More of this, please, you've shown how demos can genuinely be FUN without trying too hard with boring stories :-)
