Playing this in Vice, only using "space" I made it to the 13th round, "Burning Lava", and then my arms cramped. But Im for sure gonna play this on proper hardware when Im home in a few hours.

Imho trainers are another way to show the skillness of a cracker to find'em, sometimes are helpful for betatesting (read: skip level on multilevel games). About the rest .... there's a N option if you dislike'em ;-)

Redrunner is a Jeff-Minter-Style shooter. Blasting fun completely over the top. Who really wants a trainer for this? Everybody should play this kind of game the way Minter suggested: Smoke a 'recreation cigarette' and have fun.

I just read "fixed" and a "maximum of 10 bugs per level"-trainer and had a good laugh ;-)
I should consider that an option for my own games :)

Hedning: you should have messaged me on IRC rather than polluting this release entry further. Perhaps you should send Slator an email regarding trainers or read some of the old magazines to learn a bit about over-training?

But what is the "proper" way then, Jazzcat? I am curious for real. Is it to train the shit out of a game, and leave the choice to the player, or to train more sensible and don't ruin the game? May I quote you from the docs to Fairy Well +5MD? "We could have added plenty of trainers to this game for the sake of showing some large amount in a directory name or trainer menu but we wanted to do things in the proper way". (Which by the way is a somewhat strange statement in a +5M game...) It seems like your agreement with Didi here means the exact opposite of what you said in that release (ignoring the fact that it was +5M)?

hehe, basic runs fine on NTSC (haha, only joking).

Didi: yes, the choice is always at the players hands no matter if it is sensible trainers or insensible trainers.

hedning: I also checked some of the GP releases but they did not require NTSC fixing.
