Veto, thanks a lot for the honest admission and, more importantly, for blessing us with your pieces of Art. The passionate effort you put in them shines through.

thank you all for the compliments. makes me really happy that you like this one.

the pic has been started shortly after revision, but thanks to some private issues struggled against progress most of the time.
as some of you have mentioned here the motive has its own topic, but the composition took inspiration from other pics like "eric's son" or "don't turn" by ooz (night walk was initially ment as hommage to ooz' picture).

@saimo: yep, you are right. found also some blocks that would have needed modification. guess it is because i was short of sleep at the party (bad excuse ;))...

this is a really great picture with all those little details. and its very moody - i like that.
i somehow wonder how this motif would have looked like with FLI or mc (i still think that erics son is one of your best pictures)

nice use of the borders btw. - and congrats for the deserved win in this competition.
sphinx took the trophy for you, and we will bring it to bfp.

edit: btw i really love the music made by devilock, but i am not sure this one was the right choice. a little "darker" tune would have added some extra-mood

Worthy winner, fantastic piccy. and it also mirrors emotions of worry ;)

When a picture emits emotions from its scene that is a big plus for me. Not easy to do so. (pure top rate.)

I don't know how you do it over and over again, but you still do. Well deserved compowinner. All persuading efforts to just format :c your hd were wasted energy ;). This is rich on details and made a great color impression. Now i have to check (again) how you pulled it off (again) :)

saw this picture in an early stage and i am every time surprised about Veto's techniques how to create such beautiful pictures without dithering anything! especially like, how you catch the mood here. a masterpiece!

Every time Veto releases a picture I rejoice. HIRES god.
This piece has amazing details (faces on the trees, lighting, etc.) and it breaks my heart that I can't vote 10 because of some blockiness here and there which I don't expect from Veto - but maybe I'm just being evil and I'll change my mind and raise the vote tomorrow :p
