Oh no! I completely forgot, that you DON'T have to credit other people's work, as long as:
- it's shorter than some subjective number of lines of code, let's say - 69;
- it's not complex/good/important enough by your own standard;
- you're a total dick;
- you get caught on it with a dick in your hand.
...and this rule shall be forever known in the scene as The Brushole Rule :)
You know, it's like stealing a book. It's wrong. Unless the book is not good. Or has less than 20 pages. Then it's fine :)

Dude, don't be a whiny bitch just because you shit in your cereal and now have to eat it ;) That is a risk you run into, when you make a demo reusing old parts from other group's demos (Fogyish, vs.), and don't completely recollect who did what back then... ;) Just next time make a demo from new parts, and you'll be fine. I promise.

It was brought to our attention that Retro production contains a piece of code that Wacek/Arise claims is his intellectual property. Also there is an unique color progression using c64 palette that was his invention and used without his permission.
Being honest and respectful scene citizens we would like to offer Wacek our sincere apology and a well deserved place in the credits part of the demo. Also to ensure full transparency of the matter we will publish the full source code infringing Wacek's copyrights:

Source code in question:

lda sprite_zoom_colors,x
sta $d02a
sta $d02b
sta $d02c
sta $d02d
sta $d02e

sprite_zoom_colors:

C:2e2b  01 01 0f 0f  0f 0f 0c 0c   ........
C:2e33  0c 0c 0c 0c  0c 0c 0b 0b   ........
C:2e3b  0b 0b 0b 0b  0b 0b 0b 0b   ........
C:2e43  0b 0b 0b 0b  0b 0b 0b 0b   ........

The above blatant rip-off occurred in a good faith but this cannot be an excuse. Wegi was working together with Wacek in the past and his work in Retro was not a clean room implementation and therefore can be considered a derivative work based on Wacek's intellectual property.

Wacek, accept our apology and big thank you! This demo wouldn't be possible without you.

Also the demo contains (as a hidden part) old game (Asteroids) by Wegi. Full credits can be found in the Hidden Parts part of the release description.

@DKT: Yes. That's intentional. Was supposed to be Jok's GFX pack but somehow turned out as a demo ;-)

Nice production guys!
One thing. Most of pics were used before already. I would prefer to see some new Jok's works similar to those he is doing for Amiga procedural gfx compos lately ;)

Thanks for you kind comments! We appreciate. This release was meant to support RKLE party and to celebrate Elysium's re-union in Gdańsk. We're so happy that Wegi/Jok/Psycho8580 managed to put it together on time :)
@Wacek: we love you too, you know :)

For clarity: MSL tunes are in almost all cases strictly 8580. If you listen to them with 6581, please don't xD Thx!

What a great music!!! Too good for this demo. (..) Please stop inserting vic data into sid filters, or place warning before this starts. Top worst soundtracks in C64 history: 1) Dream Travel, 2) Retro

First things first. Wegi, ESM gang, you know I like you very much and I love that you're releasing stuff again. Thumbs up for that. Especially great to see Wegi back in the coding game.
I enjoyed the demo, but I need to say one thing: you know I hate recycled effects, therefore my teeth hurt looking at the reused parts from Vs. and Fogyish. Especially since the greetings part does even include some of my code & tables ;) it made me giggle on the inside a bit.
Looking forward to new upcoming prods from Elysium!

Finally, that ball moving against Jok's art! :D Nice mixture of new and old Wegi's routines, however, linking could be more polished and synced to awesome ost.
